So, if you're reading this, you probably know who I am, or have just joined the site. Either or.

If you know who I am, great, this will go a bit easier. If you've just joined the site, kindly fuck off to the last sentence.

I've been working in the background here at Mischief.tv (and before at TeckademicsEast, and even to some degree at DTMPower) for years. I practically reinvented the forums when it seemed like no one was going to even give them the time of day. I've probably been at fault for wasting untold amounts of time from your personal lives either directly or indirectly since 2003. And the thing is.. it's been AWESOME.

You guys are the reason that I have continued to come to this site. Most forums online have a HUGE staff of moderators and admins that have to babysit the members and guide them in the right path. Not here. This place runs itself. Y'all hunt down the assholes and push 'em out the door before they can even get a foothold. I RARELY (I mean it, like 2-3 times a year) get any email about drama on the forums. Do you know what this means? It's a family. How many people on this site have you personally met? AFTER you joined the forums that is. Me? God... I couldn't even tell you. Dozens. Maybe even 100+ people I've met in person AFTER they've joined our community. This is awesome.

So. The thing is.... we need more people to keep this up.

We need more ideas to move forward.

I could use a little guidance from the community as to what you'd like to see going forward. Issues you might have, etc.

I'm ALWAYS open to emails. Just email me L3it3R@gmail.com and I'll TRY to get to your email ASAP. I like complaints, ideas, questions, requests, funny stories.. whatever.

But we need to keep the momentum at Mischief.tv going and growing.

Help us out!

FYI: I don't collect any money from this site. At all. Every once in a while Dustin tosses something at me or slaps me with a paypal donation, but I do all of it gratis, so if it takes me a bit longer than usual to respond, it's not because I don't care, it's just because monetarily, there are a few other things taking precedence in my life ATM ;) So patience is key when dealing with Mischief.tv crew ;)

Thanks for hanging out with us here at Mischief.tv !

Sunday morning 8am. A bit cloudy, sun is about to come out and my friend Thorsten and me heading for the ring. Both of us are a bit curious about the weather at "the ring" as it is always different to Frankfurt. We had anything from clouds to rain or mist when we arrived. On our way there we started joking wether we find the right exit to the Müllenbachschleife where the IDS is usually stationed.
Of course, we missed the right exit -still worrying about the weather as there were more clouds here, some of them pretty dark and looking as they might want to get rid of all the water...

We didn´t have the timetable on when the free practice starts, when they will qualify or when the actual twinbattle is bringing some action.
Our first surprise was that the paddock wasn´t on the outter part of the track but on the infield.
Trying to get there, we were told by the security guys that we had to wait till Jörg, the manager of the IDS, is going to pick us up to drive us to the infield. Back in the days, we were allowed to just run over the track, through the gravel to the safe spots behind the tires. Things changed. Of course the guys and girls who bought a ticket for a drifttaxi ride were picked first and after Jörg came and went a couple times, we squeezed ourself into his C220 CDI with 2 drifttaxi attendees. Jörg wasn´t going slow, why should he ? we are on "the ring". Me sitting on the middle seat in the back was pretty comfy, but with 90 kilos of weight and about 180 m of heights, the guys to my right and left weren´t so lucky when Jörg went through the turns. I tried not to move, but g-force was to strong ... Once there we went to the tent to fill out the press forms. Tire smoke was in the air, squeeling tires in your ear and incredible loud exhausts all over the place. "I LOVE THE RING" I thought to myself. This is where I wanna be all my life.

Seeing all those JDM cars and BMW told me that there is some action going on.

I hope you stay tuned. Once the pictures are all sorted, I will show you some real action. I had the chance to talk to one out of to female drifters in the series. I will try to interview her a bit more as I think that is a bit uncommon that the boyfriend is sitting there while the lady is driving like her tail is on fire (and producing as much smoke as if it was).

I will try to get some statements from Jörg the manager of the IDS as well.

I got some incredible shots (imo - I´m not a pro photographer) from yesterdays practice which will be coming as well.

PS: Let me know if I should keep my mouth shut and just show the pics :-)

Soooooo, here we go again. 2 Weeks Buenos Aires - my third time around. Mmmmh Beautiful City ... except it isnt, but let's start at the beginning shall we?

The Rental car was a Golf 1.4TFSI or something. Topped out at 210km/h, which is considerably quicker that the 1.4 Opel Corsa and the 1.2 Nissan Micra i got the times before.

Checking in at Hamburg Airport is just a breeze. It's all so well organized and clean and just ... german, i guess :dunno: and the flight to Frankfurt was done in just 40 minutes which didn't even give me enough time to read through the Lufthansa Magazine, but i'm not complaining. Arriving in Frankfurt way too early as usual, i used the time wisely and spent money on stuff i don't really need, like new sunglasses. Nice!

As we where practically ready for take-off and already taxiing, apparently one of the flight attendents fainted and we had to be pushed back into the gate again for the doc to be able to check the poor gal out. Didn't get to hear what actually happened to her but it guess it was just one of those "leave me behind! you've got to finish the mission without me!" moments.
And with an hour delay we finally took off and had 13 and a half hours flighttime in front of us. Sadly we didn't have the same crew as last time which would have given me the opportunity to ask lovely Mrs. Seiffert, why she didn't accept my Facebook friend request. Guess she doesn't feel the same passion and burning desire for me as i do for her ... oh fucking well.

Who i did travel with though were not 1 but 2 crying little babies. NIIICE! At least the onboard entertainment worked this time. BUT i'm still not complaining, just mentioning things that i noticed.

Now here comes the part where i'll start complaining: There's 400 fucking people on that plane, each with at least one piece on luggage, at least! They KNOW it's going to arrive at a certain time, give or take an hour or so but IN NO WAY do the people at the argentine Airport see any reason what so fucking ever to maybe open more than 2 customs/security booths and more that 4 migration checkpoints!

2 years later, i was done and could finally get me a cab to take me to the hotel but of course the driver doesn't speak one word english and i don't speak spanish. Which is a bit of a problem if he doesn't know exactly where your hotel is, because there's more than 1 in the street we went to. We made it here regardless. The hotel/room is the shittiest i've been in so far, but that's entirely my fault. I wanted cheap, i got cheap. Really cheap. I'll post some pics on facebook sometime.

I still don't understand why i said yes, when they asked me if i could come over again.

This is the the best road I've ever driven on. It's 15 miles long, the speed limit is 15 and for corners it's 5mph. It's on a national park near Mnt Rushmore. We did 2 high speed runs on it. We recorded the second time through. The quality isn't the best since we didn't have our gopro's at the time. Our average speed was 48; Pretty quick considering the speed limit.

I think this problemREALLY started when I got rid of my Canon 30D SLR. Sure, I've been known to change cell phones more times in a year than most people change their underwear, and I have an afinity for getting the newest things WAY before anyone else.. (which is a seperate issue altogether), but this gadget love has recently gotten out of hand. And like I said, it started about a year ago when I traded in my Canon...

So I get a handful of cash for my Canon 30D, a few lenses, batteries, etc. I take this cash to BestBuy and pick up the following:

Sony PSP-GO
Sony Vaio VPC-CW17FX laptop (14", Core 2 Duo, 4GB RAM, 500GB HDD, Blu-ray, HDMI, bluetooth, etc)
Sony Playstation 3 'slim' 120GB
Samsung XL2370 23" screen, LED, 3/4" thick at the thickest part
Bose Companion 5 Speakers
Sony HX1 20x Zoom, 9.1MP, 10fps, 1080p HD video 'PnS' camera
And few Blu-rays

By all accounts, that's a lot of shit! And that's one trip to bestbuy guys.. wam, bam, thank you fucker.

But then it gets a little worse... I buy ANOTHER cell phone .. number SIX for that year. I get the AT&T Tilt 2.

I figure that I've probably bought enough shit for now, and that I'll try and keep it sane for a while.

That actually ends up lasting about 6 months!

Then we move.
I buy an LG Fridge, an LG Stove/Range, an over the stove microwave, and an Electrolux washer and dryer set. Essentials, yes, but if you know ANYTHING about washers and dryers, there was ZERO reason for me to get the electrolux models... the set of them was over $1000 more than a set of GE or Samsung.

:glare:

Yeah, so moving eats up the vast majority of my 'disposable' income for a few months. We rennovated the house we moved into. New roof, kitchen floor (subfloor and hardwood), kitchen cabinets, completely ripped out and refinished the bathroom, and have the entire outside of the house redone. So no techy purchases for me for a while.

Except for in June when the iPhone 4 came out and I got it on the upgrade, and used a big fat gift card I got from Best Buy when I bought the electrolux washer/dryer set to pay for most of the rest of the cost of the phone. This was the first time I've upgraded my phone through AT&T in a LONG time.

Then it happens. I have some extra cash, and I say, well shit.. I like the idea of the Roku player.
So I get one.

Then I say, well, the Roku player is great, but I'd really love to watch Netflix anywhere I want (other than on my iPhone), so I get my wife an iPad.

When we use the Roku, or Sattelite or even watch a blu-ray through my kids' 'Fat' PS3, the sound is crap because I was using my Yamaha reciever with REALLY big, nice loudspeakers in my old house, but they don't fit in the living room we have now, so I was using an old set of Boston Acoustics speakers which sounded like dookie. So I goto Bestbuy and pick up a 5.1 speaker system from Definitive audio. These speakers sound incredible!

So now I've got the great sound. Perfect.. I think I can relax.. fuck.. wait, what's this on Slickdeals? a $700 coupon for an HP Envy 17 laptop?! Yes please. My mother in law is a real estate agent, and I got her a recent contract, so she owed me $500. So I end up paying $360 for a $1500 laptop. This thing is a BEAST too.. i5 w/6GB RAM, 640HDD, Bluray, 1080p Ultra Bright LED 17.3" screen, etc etc etc..

So I should be happy for a while...

Nope. I rush out and get a Happauge HD PVR for recording PS3 game playt videos. It has to be used with my Samsung XL2370 monitor which only supports HDMI or DVI-D, so I get a component to HDMI converter.

Then, I start playing PS3 some more and make a couple vids.. Fun stuff, and I should be preoccupied with this for a while.

HAH.

Now I remember that I liked playing guitar. So i get the IK Multimedia Amplitube iRIG for the iPhone/iPad. A Castiv neck mount, and order a few parts for the guitar.

On my way home from getting a smoothie, I stop in Best Buy and see the Cobra Electronics iRadar detector for the iPhone.. and pick it up...

Do you see where I'm going with this?

I can't stop!!!

lol

So anyway...

Now I'm looking around the house at all the crazy surround sound and stereo equipment I have, trying to figure out how much I can sell it all for in order to pay down the purchase price of a Bose VideoWave TV. All while leveraging a purchase of another Samsung XL2370 this month, and one more next month so I can do Eyefinity gaming on my HP Envy...

:ninja:

And then there's the shit I'm planning on getting for the car..

Hey all,
I just figured that I could start blogging about all the Events I´m going to.
Just coming back from the European Drift Championship Finals / International Drift Series Finals I will most likely start off with that.
Need to reinstall Photoshop to lighten up the pics a bit.
I guess I will be ready to go by Wednesday.

I want to thank Jörg from the IDS (www.driftsports.de) for the Press-Entrance which lead my friend and me directly into the paddock and on the track and the infield which is not available to the public.
Furthermore I have to thank my friend Thody (http://www.thody-keller.de) for letting me use his camera on several events. On Thodys page you can check out the Motorsport pics (far on the bottom left). He is a much better photographer then me, so .... his pics are better then mine :-)

IF you are interested in what I write, I could surely start interviewing Jörg as representative of the IDS as well as all the drivers which I will mention during my writing.
If you have questions you want to be answered by any driver or a special driver, let me know.
This years season is over but I will get back into the action next year....

Hope you like my writeups :dancingna

The drive to Hamburg was dealt with quickly. 90 Minutes, no fuss. I got my tickets, gave up my luggage and proceeded to Terminal 2, Gate B16. My Flight was delayed by 2 hours, but they actually rebooked me on to the flight that was scheduled before mine, which made me leave Hamburg just in time :thumb:
The Flight to Frankfurt only takes an hour, so there's not much to write about that. I did however manage to embaress myself at least 2 times  even in that short time. Up in the air i also realised, that i had forgotten my sunglasses on the passenger seat of the rental car, YAY! :glare:

I arrived in Frankfurt, got my luggage and waited for the Shuttle to get me to the Hotel ... and waited ... and waited some more. After what felt like 20 decades the bus finally arrived. The Hotel was nice. Breakfast was too, until the waitress told me my room was booked without breakfast :nonono2:

I took the Shuttle Service back to the Airport and went through the same routine as in Hamburg. Ticket, Luggage, Customs, Gate. Having been booked a Business Class flight i thought i'd also be allowed into the Business Class Lounge but OF COURSE my Company didn't book that either. The flight from Frankfurt to Buenos Aires felt endless. The hours go by and you feel like you don't go anywhere at all. I couldn't sleep so i watched the on board Movies and Documentaries. When we finally arrived i got my luggage, and proceeded to customs. I was a bit nervous because i didn't know how to fill out the customs declaration exactly, so i just wrote down what i thought was right [paranoid] Mr. Customs Man however didn't even glance at the damn paper  He just put it with the other ones and scanned my stuff. I got it, and went to meet with my driver.

Arriving at the Hotel, my colleague was already waiting for me. I was happy to meet someone who understood me, because i don't speak spanish, and even the people at the airport only spoke very little english.

Today i checked out our branch over here and met the Guys and Girls i'm supposed to train. I was surprised how well they speak german and we chatted a bit until they're shift was over. We're going into nighshift weeks now to cover the german support times. Due to the different Timezones this means, we have to start at 1AM over here, to cover the early shift in Germany at 6AM

I can't tell you much about the City yet, but, whoever gave it the Name "Buenos Aires" was clearly a sarcastic person. The Cars people drive are absolutely ridiculous ... and the way they drive them even more.

I'll try to stay alive a couple of days and tell you guys what's going on around here. Buhbai.

So, after being forced on an extra week of no working due to my HR department having a shit fit about my leave paperwork and having inconsistencies. I decided to take a trip to VA to visit a close friend of mine whom I've been meaning to visit for some time. So I call him and give him 4 hours notice that my drugged up ass is going to be on his couch all weekend, he complied and here I am.

So, he tells me that there is this Science and engineering festival in the mall that was supposed to have some interesting exhibits and was sponsored mostly by Lockheed Martin.. so its gotta be good right ;-). And they have a big draw..... They are advertising two undisclosed NCIS characters will be present... (for those of you who don't know I am un healthily obsessed with this show, and i get it from this friend i am visiting)

The two of us skip off in the morning to the metro like giddy little school girls to go check this thing out, there were some tents with interesting stuff and some had cool robots doing fun things, didnt really take to kindly to the massive amounts of children and the fact that I'm walking around wearing a gauze wrap that keeps falling off and causing discomfort. But I stick it out for the promises of the chance to meet Gibbs and DiNozzo...

To my great dismay they had pulled the monster of all fake outs and had characters of the Los Angeles spin off... whom i had no idea who they were.. Long line... did not wait...

I am about to go cry myself to sleep as a result.... But tomorrow is another day and as I've just put together that O am about 20 feet from dash motors for tomorrow and we might hit the pistol range..

Should be fun :) A Colleague of mine is already over there so i won't be completely lost. I'll try and keep you posted on my Adventures and maybe i'll even add some pics.
