It would be interesting for Teck East to start up a resource for laws regarding motor vehicles. Seems that each state/county has their own little laws that we must learn, usually after breaking them, that everyone must follow. It may be good for those that want to educate themselves prior to a rally or some other event on public roads to give them a one stop resource for this.

Knowledge is power.

In Delaware they just passed a law that really sucks.
If a cop can hear your exhaust or stereo system 50 feet away, he can give you either a traffic violation or a city fine. I just got pulled for that a couple weeks ago, exhaust to loud! I think this is a bs law because nowhere in the law does it denfine how loud your car can be legally. There is no decible rating!

Don't Cali cars get their exhaust tested when they get emissions testing? Like 95-dB or something?

if you live in Virginia, you can visit http://legis.state.va.us/Laws/CodeofVa.htm and search any code.

for example the link to the exhaust law: http://leg1.state.va.us/cgi-bin/legp504.exe?000+cod+46.2-1049

and the racing code: http://leg1.state.va.us/cgi-bin/legp504.exe?000+cod+46.2-865

hope this helps :)

Shyde that is an excellent idea! I think this is a job for each of the MODERATORS in their respective regions. I will look into this and get started with some R&D.
