According to the spec sheet they are Borg-warner/3K turbos. They only push 13.5 lbs of boost overall apparently. The engine is an LS1, 730 hp 710 ft-lbs. Not bad.

I believe this was done as a, "I did it because I can" project. Properly sized, a single turbo would have the same effect and would have been a lower cost to build then all that custom piping, ect...
