Yeah...you read right.

My best kill was probably yesterday on the way to street warriorz at NED. We had just gotten off the tolls from 95 onto 101 in NH. My friend Jason was behind me, a friend of mine in a silver WRX had joined up, and then we aquired 3 other random cars along the way, a blue WRX, red Mustang, and a yellow GTI.

I looked back from the tolls and saw a red Ferrari stopped at the toll...

We all went west and I did like 50mph to see if he'd come west as well, and sure enough...there he was, coming down the ramp. We all slowed up alot to let him catch up but he wasn't going very fast. He finally caught up to me in the left lane, I was in the right. Prolly a middle aged guy with his wife, the car was a little older, probably late 80's? I really have no idea about older Ferrari's, but it sounded insane and the guy had racing harnesses and all that stuff. I was trying to get him to go but he wouldn't do it, his wife kept apologizing, shrugging her shoulders. I was starting to get a little discouraged and just upshifted to 5th and cruised along.

Next thing I know, BAM! Guy downshifts and slams the gas. I was like ooooo shit! So I banged it back into 4th after he jumped about a car ahead and hammered it myself, that's right when I started reeling him in. Went from his rear bumper to his front bumper, and as I started to go by he shut it down. I tried to get him to go again from an even roll so we could see what'd happen, but he wouldn't have it.

And for the record (and the doubters), my car is NOT stock...it put 334 torque down AT THE WHEELS on Wednesday. :)

I forget which model Ferrari the STi ad in the magazines was compared to 0-60, but 4.6 seconds (stock) could probably take out an older Testarossa, but I really have no idea. It'll probably do it in 4.3 or 4.4 now? I gotta get my hands on a G-Tech.

Even from a roll after the tune now though, the car pulls like a BASTARD. :eek2:

I'll try to find some exotics to run, maybe get it on video and post'em up here to see how I do haha.

this is a Frerrari 328. they stopped making them in '89 i believe. the motor is a V8 with 270hp.

Thats the Ferrari Boxer 512, looks almost exactly the same as a 328 to the untrained eye (some air vents and slots are different) but instead of a V8...

They stopped making these in the early/mid 80s I believe, my dad has one. I doubt you took one of these.... they are very rare and extremely collectable now in addition to being a hell of a lot faster, but its the only other ferrari that looks so similar to a 328.

However the only cars after these are 355s...

It was a Targa Top, the more I look at the 328GTS, the more I think that's probably what it was. I should've snapped a picture or gotten it on video, I'm not sure if any of my friends did. Dammit this is so frustrating, I can't remember. :(

I always try and race ferraris everytime i see them. Oh course ive never had anything to really keep up with them, but the guys are cool, they will slow down and give you a chance to pass them, then theyll fly by you again. I more or less just do it so i can see them take off on me all the time :lol:

Its not really about the highest horsepower for a ferrari like that. Its about a total package. Besides you beat one of the slowest ferraris to date. Run a V12, or the new 360/430...

And by the way, 0-60 this car is faster than some newer Ferrari's out there STOCK. My car is definitely not stock.

0-30 it's also the fastest production car ever made, faster than the Enzo or any of your precious Ferrari's. :)

dude do you own ferrari????? if not the jsut stop right there... i would be bragging to if i beat a ferrari. my friend beat a 360 spyder in his evo. pulled by like 2 car lengths too and he is only putting down 332 to the wheels in his evo. so if ferraris have such good top end and "our" AWD cars dont (which i know they really dont) then how come the 360 couldnt even keep up at about 130mph? im not trying to be a dick here but you were getting way to deffensive about ferraris as if you designed them yourself... queit frankly who cares???? his STi is nice and im sure it is fast and yea if i had to choose between his car and a ferrari i would choose a ferrari even if it was slower and i think him as well as 90% of this forum would too... so relax...

I wasn't saying that AWD cars don't have good top end. I was just saying that they are not known for htat, and especially the STI, because i have a friend who runs one at the track. Yea...0-6 is 4.6-4.8 seconds, but they only run mid to low 13's. They are not built for a top end run, at least not right out of the box. I don't own a ferrari, but i have drive a few of them before. I was just upset because this kid came ranting his mouth about how he beat this ferrari and show a pic of it, and it is like one of the slower ferrari production car. Im sure if your friend and the evo kept racing to 170 or above, the ferrari would smoke the shit out of it.

thanks for that...I don't drive a domestic for all the stereotypical reasons. I drive it because it makes me happy, i paid for it in full and im proud of that. The car is also EXTREMELY rare. Its only 1 of 2 in the world (stock) just like it out of the all the firehawks made in a 10 year running.

I think Ferrari is a sign of performance...Look at the Enzo, or the F40, or the F50, the Modena is even quick. I mean yea it is a symbol of money as well, but its also craftsmanship. You know your getting something good for the money. And if i am not mistaken, Ferrari is making a car that is suppose to be the closest thing to a street legal indy car as far as performance wise. We can all build a car that will rape a Ferrari, but we know its not a Ferrari everytime we get in it...I dunno, i love Ferraris so thats just my opinion. Gotta stick up for them haha

i beleive it.. my dads friend owns a dealership and he let us drive the STi around for a day and i was on I79 this is about a week ago and a ferrari pulled up next to me and we went and i pulled on him.. idk what kind of ferrari it was but it was newer, we would of went again but he stayed on 79 and i had to go 279.. i was bumbed.. but the STi is a hell of a car and id love to see how yours does
