Hey boys and girls,
This is your boy ReignTech with another thread for all to see. I myself (being a computer geek), am a big fan of "The Matrix". I'm confused about one of the things in the movies. For instance in the first one, where he was in the elevator shaft and looked up and said "there is no spoon", what did he mean by saying that at that time?

There is no spoon = Nothing within the Matrix was physically real.

I Thought so. Am I the only one, or did it piss everybody off when he died (Neo), at the end of the third movie? I mean come on, this is suppose to be the one, and the guy dies. Who thought that crap up, not to mention Trinity's death. I was totally dissapointed.

Sucked that Trin died, but that told ya right there he was gonna die... If behind every strong man is a strong woman, and he's a strong man, it meant he had to go...

there probably should be a spoiler alert for everyone who hasnt seen it yet :P

I was dissapointed too with the deaths and there was a lot of shit that was completely rediculous. "What do I need to do?" "You know what you need to do"
"How will I know how to do it?" "You will know how to do it" "What happens if I fail?" "You know what happens if you fail"

Seriously - the movies had some of the worst conversations - there are tons of flash movies that make fun of the plot holes and shit like this.

Anyways, yeah the convo in the last one was crazy. All that build up for something so lame. If you saw the movie as more than just hot graphics, and realized the message that went behind it, than it really was a nice film. Sadly all of them. You had the birth with the first one, had the toddler stage of the second, and then had the fine tuned old age of the last, which also brought on death. It had the philosopy of Buhdism behind it to me. Remember he died once in the 1st one, (notice that the oracle also said that he was waiting on another life). Therefore when he was brought back, he also trully brought back the whole essence of the one. Also after that scene I suggest that you all go see the "Animatrix", that was better to me than the last movie. The oracle dying of diabetes sucked, but I would had made here the little girl instead of the old woman. It would had made more sense. "You have to sacrifice somethings in order for the good of all", that's what the oracle said, than she should had sacrificed those dumb ass lines. Along with the fact that if you notice that when she pulled on the cigarette, No smoke came out. Agent smith was getting on my nerves, and beyond that, Morpheus acting like a bitch at the end, was really uncalled for. I mean have him die, and let Neo and Trinity live. That's what everyone wanted deep down.

I also want to know about the fact that how is it that you can be trained in all forms of kung Fu, and can't do shit in the real world. That dosent make sense. Neo was getting handled in the last one by the Real World Agent smith. And why the hell did it take him so long to figure out that Bein was agent smith. I mean how many people called him Mr Anderson. You know what, It seemed like Keanu Reeves wrote the script himself.

Excuse my language.

I happened to come across this when I was searching for something else. Neo dies because his life resembled Jesus' life in many ways. There were many religious references. Neo was "The One." They lived in Zion. He died at the end. If you notice when he is being killed at the end, he is in the same position as Jesus was on the cross. The architect towards the end of Matrix: Reloaded was God. In Matrix: Reloaded, when Trinity and Neo come back to Zion, all the people come to Neo for his help, they want them to take care of their children, save them, etc. Just figured I'd clear that up.

IMO, the last 2 could have been made a trilogy in themselves. 2 was good, the 3rd was really rushed. The way I see it, Neo didn't die, he just became part of the big computer, that's what I think at least, either way, worst movie ending EVOR.

2nd and 3rd both sucked in context. the cinematography and scenes were awesome, but the story line was lacking.. you actually had to play the friggin video game to catch some of the sideline story.. blah blah blah I'm done.

Hey guys, I just finished watching "I,Robot". Did anyone else notice that the Animatrix and this movie had a lot in common? The Movie is hot (I,Robot), don't get me wrong, but it just seemed to much like the ideals were from the AniMatrix a little.

"I, Robot" is definitely better than Animatrix. It's an old story concept, which may be why it's so familiar, but I think "I, Robot" is just a whole lot better.
