due to a number of reasons, i MAY be forced to sell my pride and joy :( anyone who knows me, knows how much i love my car and knows how hard this is for me. i've owned the car just over a year and baby it to death. It has never been to the track. and never raced from a launch (ie, raced from a roll on the highway VERY rarely).
The car is in *MINT* condition. Anyone who has seen my car in person can attest to this. the paint is in EXCELLENT condition. It looks like it's brand new. The engine bay is CLEAN. The interior is near MINT. the drivers side seat has some wear on it, but nothing very noticable, no cracks in the leather, no tears, rips, worn spots, etc. (i'm *EXTREMELY* particular about my car :p) if it's not perfect, or as perfect as possible, i'm not happy with it.
there are a few chips on the hood, one chip above the front wheel well (i can't remember off the top of my head if it's the passengers side or the drivers side) and a few very minor scratches along the rear bumper from a parking attendant that didn't know how to do his job  (hardly noticable, but as i said, i'm VERY VERY picky about my car, and i know every inch of it and the slightest blemish annoys me) there is also a SMALL dent on the rear quarter panel on the drivers side. it's ONLY noticable in the side-view mirror when the light hits it just right... it annoys the ever living sh*t outta me, but it's probably no bigger than a pea. the under-side of the front bumper is scratched up from a bad bottom'ing out i had the first summer i owned the car. it is not noticable unless you are laying under the car looking up at it. the paint around the area is not peeling/flaking/etc. the flaws i pointed out, are not really noticable at all, however, they are extremely noticable to me because i know every inch of my car, and examine every inch of my car whenever i wash it/wax it/polish it/detail it. aesthetically, chances are you won't find many others (if any) in this good of condition. (i have MANY MANY pictures of my car, i will put them all together and post up the website's link when i get home from work later this afternoon)
mechanically, the car is in excellent condition also. the turbo's spool up quickly, the car pulls like a mother-f*cker WOT, it shifts great (95% of the time, however, i think the tranny fluid just needs to be changed because i doubt it was ever changed by the previous owners). the clutch does not slip at all, it holds great. i have not launched the car, ever. (i've been too afraid to break anything because i really can't afford to have a broken car and because i just lack the skill to launch my car :p) the active aero DOES still work.
there are a few minor things i will fix before i sell the car (IF i sell the car). the a/c compressor (?? i think that's what the problem is) has been acting up lately. the a/c belt needs to be tightened. and as i mentioned before, the tranny fluid probably needs to be changed. the 120k service is coming up, and *IF* the price is right, i will have that done before the car is sold. the transfercase recall has not been done on my car yet.
DETAILS:
Pearl White 1995 3000GT Vr-4
electric sunroof (no ECS)
~114,000 miles
dark charcoal leather interior
clear corners
MITSUBISHI lettering removed off drivers side of the rear bumper
17" Mille Miglia Spider rims with Pirello Pzero Nero tires (all weather)
polished plenum and valve cover (i may keep these, because chances are i will be buying another 3/S, most likely a 1st gen)
Greddy Type-S BOV
replaced the stock shift boot with a real leather shift boot off e-bay (dark gray, matches the interior exactly)
bradi slotted rotors
hawk pads (F type?? i forget exactly what they're called) the hawk pads were only installed less than 10,000 miles ago, however, they dust a lot so i just got a set of EBC green's. they are not installed on the car as of yet.
i can't think of anything else off the top of my head. I'm located in Carmel, NY... 1 hour north of NYC and about 1 and 1/2 - 2 hours south'ish of Albany.
Mechanically and Aesthetically, the car is in BETTER condition than when i bought it (with ~70,000 miles on it March 30, 2003).
i'm looking to get $16,000 for it. i paid over blue book value when i bought the car, and it's been worth every penny. if you take into account the condition of the car, mechanically, it's saved me from repairs that so many other 3000GT/Stealth owners have been plagued with.
i will take pictures of the blemishes while i'm at work and post them up as soon as i can.
