Can I Kill them?

OK so 2 kids want to race me. One has an brand new S4 and another has an 03 Z06. I dunno, what do you guys think? The S4 is stock (automatic also) and the Z06 im told has i/e/chip - i dunno if its an auto or not

My 93 RX7 is a 5-speed, streetported, non-seq., full intake/exhaust, pulley, large intercooler, 850cc+1250cc injectors, apexi pfc ecu, and is estimated to make about 350whp at 12/13 psi. I've never run it above 7 psi though. Im confident I can take the S4 but I dunno about that Z06, if it was a regular ol vette I wouldnt be too worried but the Z06 is supposed to be like 350whp stock right? So i/e/chip would make it like 375whp or more.... Any thoughts?

I'm pretty sure you'd take the new S4, but that vette is a whole different beast. But goodluck, it should be close between you two.

The S4's are quick as hell though. I don't really know the specs on them but I've seen videos of them pulling really hard on SVT Cobras and Supras.

S4 should be pretty easy but the Z06 race will all be driver since both cars are powerful. BTW the new Audi has 340hp but its a sedan so its heavy.

S4 is easy...

Z06 with chip, intake/exhaust, you make have problems with, thats 11 sec. car right there, and if its a real Z06, its manual, they only came in manual. If you think your an 11 sec car, you may have a chance, if not, don't even bother with the vette

Anyway - I believe my car is a low 12 second car, I doubt my rx7 is capable of running an 11second pass and a low 12 is at the absolute highest boost I can run :\

It sounds like I probably wont be able to beat the Z06 but at at least Ill put up a good fight. I'll post up the actual results later next week ^_^

The Vette is claimed those impressive 1/4 mile times with a professional driver behind the wheel, taking down his best pass out of like 50 runs. The Vette definately outpowers you, but I think it's a driver's race. It should be close. Try to get a vid to post up!

Dude, can you not? the keys words in that last statement were "I dunno". that is the second time you have posted a comment about the how "slow" the z06 is. :jackoff: The reason the vette couldn't pull away from you was because he was probably only at 1/4 throttle :screwy: (my favorite ricer excuse: "dude, I was pulling on you...after you let off the gas")

sl!m, if this is from a dig the vette will prolly win, many z06's i have seen run high 12's easy stock, if its from a roll my guess is it would be a lil closer, but all in all i think the vette will get you in the end, s4 on the other hand is quite slow, good luck to you!

Dont take your chance against the Z06..Once he hits 3rd gear hes gone...The S4 would prob be a good race though, id deff give that a shot before the vette

The S4 you should be able to take, but the 'Vette should be interesting. My buddy has a C5 that puts out about the same power as a Z06 and that thing is quick. But yeah, you won't know until you race them. Even if you lose, it'll still be fun. Why do you think I raced a 400+awhp TSI? I knew I'd get my ass handed to me but it was fun to be ahead of him for a little bit. :D

sl!m...race them...the s4 won't give you trouble...the vette like everybody says will be a drivers race...so get in his head before the race starts...rev up...laugh at him...tell him his girlfriend is cute ....anything to make him think about something other than driving...works for me....i beat the shit out of an svt cobra with my ek civic running i/h/e/chip/and pulleys...i found a way to shoot flames out the exhaust...he saw it and got nervous....missed his shift from 2nd to 3rd and i walked with the bragging rights....have fun....
