I think it looks 100 times better then the last 15 years of the mustang. I am not at all a fan of ford, but I don't think this car looks that bad. and these look fast which is more than I can say for the last model ford made.

The wheels suck. The headlights in the middle suck. Those mufflers in the back suck. The car looks nothing like a skyline. I hate Ford. The only way I would drive that is if it had the 03 Cobra motor in it and had some 19" wheels with 255s in the front and 305s in the rear. But I'll be honest though. I love the fastback profile from the side. The wheels just blow along with gay retro styling.

But let me tell you how I really feel....

I think its nice they went back to retro styling, however I will say that ever since carmakers began going back to the retro look starting in the late 90s, to me it seems like they have run out of ideas and are just modifying old ones. I would have rather wanted to see a brand new creation that a classic could be made out of then somebody basically just modifying a classic design to ride the coattails off of the original's reputation.

if they do have 400hp, then the vette better watch it's ass, i don't know about the weight on them but i know the vette has close to 400hp too. when is someone going balls up and chanenge the viper with 505hp? anybody know how the vette and the viper compare in the 1/4?

little offtopic story about a viper:
there is a guy aroung here with a silver viper w/ blue racing stripes (think i posted some pics of it a while ago along w/ some other pics for cars around here.) that is supercharged, he had a dyno sheet showing almost 900hp (889 i think) and he said he was at the point where the only thing that could hang with him where croch rockets, the guy was looking for a bike to race him saying he wouldn't run for less that $1,000, so we called my freind jacob who is like the king of turbos around here, raced him in a low 11's AWD eclipse sleeper and beat him, fast way to make $1,000

have you ever seen the focus with the cobra V8 in it? they did a write up on it in sport compact car a while back, it had so much power that they had to get 4 people in the car, and put like 200lbs of weights in the back to get traction and it still ran a 13.

Yea, I saw that concept... couldn't help but chuckle just a bit at a "real" Mustang GT-R. Although I'm sure its not a turbo rotary w/ pistons... I'm not too sure about the design. The ass end looks like someone stretched an S14 Silvia taller and fatter. Not too crazy about the headlight/foglight combo, but it would look dumb without the fogs there.

My god!! That convertible and the Cobra concept art is HOT.. i haven't liked the way a mustang has looked for MANY years.. and those pics are AMAZING.. I like the new body style, but I'm upset that they're making such a mass production vehicle (y'know, there's like 10 million of them on the road) look so damn good, because it's gonna become so common place. But I'd get one of those SVTs in a heartbeat! That thing is amazing looking!
