Okay so i have the horrible ability to complain about anything....but at least this is legit...

what is the deal with rain? whenever it rains people go brain dead behind the wheel....when is it ever okay to enter the freeway doing 40 mph? and since when is it a good idea to STOP in the middle lane of a freeway because there's an inch of standing water....ugh i give up...people that can't drive correctly (as in the way i drive) should be euthanized...or at least nuetered so that they can't breed more bad drivers....okay...whew....i feel better....

reply with your worst driver in the world story....i'm curious to see if i'm the only one that seems to notice this trend....

i guess that's a southern cali thing, it seems like people know how to drive in the rain in Portland, i guess that could be because it happens so often....

snow is another story though

I do it when it is nice out, if I go over 35 anywhere, I just get really nervous and let go of the wheel.[paranoid]

People in general are risk-averse and would rather be safe than sorry.

People like you (and probably me; I'm sure we have some commonalities when it comes to driving) are a rare breed. We can watch the crazy shit in Mischief and go "holy shit, that was bad-ass," but most people will drop their jaws and say "These people are a menace to the society."

Are we wrong? Or are they wrong? The answer is no to both. Everyone drives differently; since we all share the same roads, you will just have to learn to live with it and learn how to negotiate with traffic. Complaining about it isn't going to do anything. (FYI, from their point of view, WE are the bad drivers.)

By the way, people who go slow in the left lane.. they have no excuse for being dumb fucking idiots. At least the whole rain thing, it's understandable. One time I was going home from school, and this girl in a Civic was going 70 in the left lane, dragging about 30 cars behind her. I was soooo fucking pissed, but then noticed a cop behind me. I moved over to see if he would pull me over (I was going 85 in 70 before I got stuck in traffic behind the Civic). He passed me, moved up and pulled the Civic over. I was laughing my ass off. Michigan recently passed a law stating that you can only use the left lane for passing, and as soon as you're done passing, you must move into the right lane again. It's a 2-pointer ticket, if I remember right, and that's probably what the cop gave her, considering she was literally dragging about 30 cars behind her.

My thought is that most average drivers don't have confidence in themselves or their cars. Peopla r also unfamiliar with the laws of physics oddly enuff. For example, if u let off the gas ur car will slow down....u don't always hafta use the brake to slow down. I see this everyday. I brake when i have to stop completely or slow down a great deal in a short distnce. if i need to slow down gradually, i downshift or just let my car decelerate naturally. Another thing that annoys me is when ppl brake going up a hill (especially when they're not going that fast to begin with).....

As far as wet conditons go, i'm extra cautious. Under normal conditions, i consider myself to be an enthusiastic driver, but not in the rain or snow.....
Going 40 on a freeway in my book is unacceptible unless: there is heavy fog, rain or snow....I guess not everyone looks at driving the same way. An everyday commuter just wants to get from point A to point B, while others actually appreciate the act of driving and take it more seriously.

In norcal i was at a red light, and when it went green, a guy in an suv went from the right lane to make a left turn...IN FRONT OF ME. Man did i lay on that horn (then to improve his case, as i was honking he turned around and looked at me while he was still making the turn).

there are too many bad drivers, serious i almost got hit the other day cause of some asshole in a honda crv

i was getting onto a tight turn of an onramp he was in a left lane and right as i was entering the turn to start braking he changes his mind and pulls in right behind me less then a foot i tried to brake but he kept getting closer and closer so i just took the turn squeeling tires. then after the turn he pulled infront of me and hit his brakes real hard as if i did somthing wrong. i shouldve just hit him and said he was the cause of the accident.

but yeah i see too many bad drivers especially in the area where i live since i live right next door to a mall and people dont pay attention when driving in mall parking lots and drive horrible. i walk to the mall most of the time i need to go there.

There are some dumb fucks in NJ also. I was leaving the mall yesterday, and you could either go left to the exit, or go right back towards the mall. This guy infront of me puts on his right signal, and starts to turn right, so I put on my left signal and start to go to the left to leave. At the last second he swerves to the left and goes out the exit. I had to slam on the brakes to avoid him. Then I floored it past him so I wouldnt be stuck behind him when it became a one lane road again. fuckers.

I live in San Diego and it takes me an hour and twenty minutes to get home sometimes from work and its only 22 miles. and I drive in the fastlane. People drive slow even if its sprinkling and the grounds mildly damp.
