Wasup guys. If anyone had wondered... I left the states on Tuesday for Vietnam and gawd damn, it has been one hell of a trip so far. I don't even know what day it is now but our first stop was Tokyo, Japan; the women there were hawt sauce to go... too bad there was a huge language barrier, I really wish I had a shirt that said, "I don't know how to speak Japanese," being asian and all... well you know, they didn't speak english either. :weaksauce The flight was about 13 hours to Tokyo and 7 hours to Vietnam. There is a 12 hour difference I believe, it's 11:00pm over here as I'm posting this.

I have a lot of amazing photos but I forgot my card reader at home, seriously, I really didn't think here in Vietnam they were that technically advanced to have ADSL and Windows XP/USB. One lesson so far, we take A LOT of things for granted in America, after experiencing this level of poverty... your outlook on life kinda changes for the better.

Talk to you guys soon.

Dude, new technology is a grip here. I was trying to scoop up a Nokia 7610, guess how much... $600! Yikes. Exchange rate here in Vietnam is da bomb, you can get a full dinner and tip (which most people don't do that over here) for around $6 bucks, this includes steak, salad, lots of beer. Tokyo is already done with, I left there a few days ago, Cry... Yeeessss, I'd love to go back!

Do ma! I can't find any Straw Hats, I'm bringing back some bracelets that are gangsta as hell, straight up Foo Man Chu style.

No macking is taking place with my parents, diseases is a big minus, I didn't take any anti-botic shots before I came back. :) I bet I could find mad squirrel around here tho, clean? Hmmm, we'll see what I can dig up tonight in Saigon, hopefully not a whore that'll bite off my nose. Some of the areas are extraaaaaaaaaaaa dirty!

This cat can't roll with the heat here, I'm too white... I'm trying to find a early flight home so I can get first dibs on the Freshmen @ GMU, I hate getting sloppy 3rds there. :)

Dog?

My friend is vietnamese (sp?) and went to Vietnam this summer. He said he saw them taking dogs into the restaurants in big cages and he'd see em walking them all down the street.

Huy

Dog? As in people eating them? Yeah... it's nasty. My parents, parents don't partake in the cuisine tho. Thank god.

Huy

I'll make it home safe, thanks Tawny ;)

I mean, yeah they have pet dogs, and yes, they also have restaurants that eat em. I've seen biker dudes roll around with 4 dirty ass dogs, shoved into a cage... sad sight, are they going to eat them? I don't know but it looked shady.

Saigon is an awesome place to go, I need to take my lady friend there sometime once I save up enough scrilla. Night time is like no other, you'll see once I post my pictures, just insane fun guys.

I still want to be back in America. Talk to ya guys soon, I'm at a 14.4 SHARED Internet Cafe, gawd this sucks.

JD
09-03-2004, 04:39 PM
welcome back man. did u stay in the city or the country side?

Huy
09-05-2004, 07:05 AM
Both, Dad's family lives in Saigon, if I knew how to spell in Vietnamese... I'd tell you where exactly... and Mom's side lives by the "boat yard." (a bad translation of the real name)

Downtown Saigon is very modernized, that was where all the white folk where and most of the richer crowds, much like New York. Lots of lights, lots of clubs, people party all night there.

Well thanks for the cool gifts from Vietnam Huy...

Huy brought me back I business card holder made out of wood. And it opens up too. I use it like a wallet now. But its pretty badass. The craftmanship on this item is insane. I can't believe it was made by a human. He also brought some bracelets which were pretty cool too. Thanks again....
