We've got the first car thread, now how about some of your first accidents?
Here's mine: I was driving to work on a Friday after school. I'd had my license for maybe 6 months. So I'm driving along a busy 2-lane state highway in my black 85 Escort, when some f*cker in a white Thunderbird pulls out in front of me. He then proceeds to floor the car to get somewhere near the speed limit, then slammed on his brakes. I'd been growing closer and closer since I had already been cruising at ~60mph, and rear-ended him. Turns out he was only 15 with no license, driving his mommy's car to his friend's house. He and his friends lied to the cop and told him that his 16-year old had been driving. The kid promised me he wouldn't claim insurance, but him mom sure as hell did. I got a ticket for following too closely. Apparently it cost $1500 to repair the exhaust and rear bumper, which was all I had damaged since the 'Scort nosedived. My car was deemed totalled and since I didn't have full coverage it was hopeless. Dealership wanted $2000 to fix just the motor.
If I knew then what I knew now, I would have just went to a junkyard and found a 2.3L turbo engine from a Mustang or Thunderbird Turbocouple and dropped that sucker in for cheap. But I got my 91 Civic HB after that, so its all good.

I was Driving on a backroad in a Volvo V70 GLT that wasn't even mine, and swerved to miss a deer, ended up knocking over a tree and almost going over a small cliff. The people that owned the car were on their way to come pick me up and they HIT a deer. The cop that responded to the accident hit a deer, and the state trooper that had nothing better to do that showed up ALSO hit a deer.. so I got off scott free with the insurance :D $200 Deductible and *bam* new car :D
1st(02' AccorD): Sitting at a stoplight in our 02' Accord about a week after I got a ticket for going 84 in a 65. Look in my rearview mirror and see a truck doing about 35-40 not even looking ahead, hit me doing 30-35. The accord held up really well though, maybe 1k in damage, got paid 1200 by his insurance and fixed it. The extra money paid a lawyer to get me out of my 84 in 65 ticket :)
2nd (318ic): Got out of school early b/c of snow and slid coming around a turn like 30seconds from my house, went into and over a curb and almost down a hill into trees, but stopped just in time. Casualties: Oil Pan, Cracked Lip Spoiler, 1 French Fog, and a little white post.
3rd (318ic): Was going to take pictures with 2 of my friends Bimmers. At a stop sign, 1st car goes, 2nd car starts to go and I think he's gone so I take my foot of the brake and look to my left. Turn around and he stopped... hit him doing maybe 3-4mph. (Stop sign was on a steep hill). Cost $120 to get mine fixed, he has yet to get his fixed, but it should be like $220.
And I hope that is all I will ever be in, unless a Maybach wants to hit me then I'm all for it.

My first was in my '91 Saturn SC2, I was going about 35 in a 40 going over a hill and there was a lady in a ford explorer who's tie rod was broken she was stopped in the road (no hazard blinkers on), I came over the and slammed on my breaks. No ABS so I locked the tires up and slid (the cop measured my tire marks and they where 27.5 feet long) feet down hill into her car. cop said it was not My fault, but he had to give me a ticket cuz I hit her and she was stopped, I got a ticket for failure to stop, tried to fight it and the judge said I should not have locked up my tires.
My car's hood was touching the windshield, both fenders shattered, and her hitch went all the way through the front end and hit the motor.

Oh man that is crazy, good to see your still around! Any permanent damage?
My driving was accident free, did lots of stupid stuff, I even lost control and almost rang someones door bell with my bumper  . Anyway, then one warm night in march all the snow was melting and my g/f and I had just gotten back from a bike show wear I blew all the money I had. So im driving my g/f out to her house that is just a few mins out of town. I decided to take my parents new Nissan Pathinder out for a drive, as we were going down her road she pointed out how the roads were almost flooding and the ditches were 4' deep. Drop her, off and start heading home, I made it about 1km down her road and caught a bit of water which pulled me onto the soft shoulder, then my tires caught the snow/slush and I went flying out into a bunch of snow and I thought to myself, "aw fuck its 2am and im going to get stuck out in this field", boy I wish that had of been the case, all I heard was something breaking, then "SPLASH!" my parents new truck fell through the ice and water began pouring in like mad, as soon as I head water I killed the engine so it wouldn't suck in water, then I was out and standing on the shoulder looking at my half sunk truck screaming "FUCK!", then it was a 1km run to my g/fs house. Got her dad to tow me out, realized my air box was dry so I drove it home. Cost $1000 to have the interior taken apart, steamed, vacuumed, dried etc, replace the bug deflector, reset a bunch of errors in the CPU, flush every fluid in the truck until it was all fresh. That was a brutal night, got to sit up to my chest in swamp water steering my truck out.

never been in a wreck, and hopefully never will...:)
A guy that works for my dad was in a horrible accident the other day, 7 cars and a Semi on the highway. There is construction and the cars were sitting still on the highway, the semi comes up from behind and I guess wasn't paying attention. Doing about 70 he slams on his brakes, slams into the back of the car the guy my dad knows was driving, pushes him into the car in front of him which sets off a chain reaction, cars going everywhere. The trailer of the Semi goes sideways and hits more cars. The guy my dad knows cracked his sternum and 2 people in the 2 cars in front of him died. He was very lucky to come out alive. They closed down the eastbound side for hours. My dad lives about a mile from where it happened and he drove by it. He said there was an Escalade and the back was basically accordioned into the front seats. Really bad accident, happened yesterday.

I've gotten in only 1 accident while moving and I was not at fault. Two weeks after I started driving my GST, I was going about 50-55 in a 40 (6 lane turnpike). I was about to pass a parking lot exit when a Lexus LS400 quickly pulled out from behind a van parked in the shoulder right in front of me and stopped in my lane to check for traffic coming in the opposite direction so he could make a left out of the parking lot (across my lane). I hit the side of his car instantly, didn't even have time to beep, brake, or swerve. My car was totalled, his car was just smashed in on the side. If I didn't have automatic seatbelts, I would have died because I know I wouldnt have been wearing my belt...I never used to wear it before I had that car...now I never forget it!!
3 of my cars and one car I borrowed were hit in parking lots when I was parked!! WTF is that all about??!? My Cougar, my SLK, my Talon and one of my ex's old cars. All I have is a pic of what happened to the Coug in a 7-11 parking lot...I ran in for a minute and came out to this and no cars in sight :(

Hit a curb with my Civic going about 20 MPH. "dpb" was in the passenger seat at the time.

It was a sign that nothing but a Z3 should have Z3 fenders.

Do offroad accidents count?
If so, I've got 13 rollovers, 28 flops...
In terms of street accidents? A guy in a civic was street racing, cut me off in my jeep, sideswiped my tire, and ended up driving half underneath the tire...
The results were as so:
Passenger of civic: broken collarbone, 5 broken ribs, sevre concussion, one broken arm and one broken leg
Driver of civic: Sevre concussion, fractured wrist, and a couple cracked ribs.
Civic: one 40" Interco Bogger on trunk, one 40" Intergo bogger trying to climb hood, and a torn off roof...
My damages: Me: Confused as hell as to how he didn't see a huge ass Jeep and hit me, and minor whiplash...
Jeep: paint scraped off of rim and off of winch bumper.
Shows to prove, don't fight with bigger vehicles, you'll lose.

As for first accidents, I have a funny one which incidently is also a crazy spring break
story. Basically some family friends came over, and rented a Montero Sport (back in 01
when they were cool). They had two sons the same ages as my bro and I. So the four
of us decided we would go to Daytona Beach for spring break. We had a hell of a time
in the truck, and the last day we were there, sunday night 6:30pm this happened.
They were closing the beach, so everyone had to remove their cars. As we were
driving out, my brother noticed a huge sandcastle someone made. We immdediatly
decided we are in a SUV, lets have some fun. So we line up to go drive over it, and
the group decides to hit this thing at 40MPH, I wanted 10, but hey, majority rules.
I start to drive towards it, and at about 35MPH, I notice this thing has one big f'n
moat built around it, so I lock the brakes. Being on sand the car jus slides right to
it. Figure the sandcastle is 9 ft in diameter, and 4-5ft high. The moat around it is
2 ft wide, and 1 ft deep. The front axel hits the moat and stops, but the momentum
of the truck pushes the back end off the ground, so we are "popping a wheelie" on
the front axel. The weight of the truck is pushed down on the front end, crushing
everything, both fenders bent, hood bent, bumper shoved in. One headlight pointing
up, one pointing down. When the truck finally lands on all 4, all we see is sand on
the windshield. We thought there was no damage, but everyone else around stopped
and were pointing. We got out and saw the whole front end trashed. Lets just say
the drive back to orlando sucked since I broke part of the front axel and the car was
driving sideways. Anyways the next day we returned the car, since it was full
coverage insurance, and it was a self-check out, no charges. :)
