Gum Ball 1000 (May Long weekend 20 - 23)(Cnd. Holiday)

Just wondering if there would be any interest in a DELETED< THINK OF ANOTHER NAME OR DON'T POST THIS HERE>.... It would be from Vancouver to Edmonton then to Calgary and then back to Vancouver. I was thinking of setting it up for the May long weekend Leave vancouver Friday evening May 20th and then be back in Vancouver for Monday May 23rd. The monday is the holiday its a long weekend. If i can get 10 people to be interested i look into getting some sponsers and what not. I need to have about 10 guarentteed by about the end of april.

Note this is in canada but we are meeting up to leave only about 10 minutes away from the US border.... It would be nice to see a big crowd come out.

Get a dollar figure and I might be interested... But what way through the mountains did you plan on? Up by Jasper? Eeek, moose highway.

well for us local guys from Vancouver BC. the trip should cost at most about 500 cdn... and Yeah we are going to be driving through Jasper....but only during the day so no need to worry bout moose! The only time we are going to be driving when its dark is friday evening... and thats for only about 2 1/2 hours. But i have never see animals on that portion of the highway.

You ever been down that highway up there?

The moose lay on the road and lick the salt on the road... They are on it day and night... There's a reason it's called Moose Highway.

I'd go, but I'd probably NOT speed simply for the sake of animals up there. And travelling through the mountains would rock minus wildlife problems...

Alright well for the most part, I've been through jasper quite a few times.... And yeah i've seen my fair share of animals. And im sure there wont be that much crazy driving through jasper national park. So we are gonna leave Vancouver around 6pm so let me know if you wanna come.
