Yo,
If anyone's looking for a decent car simulation game but doesn't want to get up off their ass to go to Circuit City and buy it, they'res a free program called Racer...fully 3D, and constructed based on real-life handling and speed physics. You can either download the latest full release (5.0) at www.racer.nl , or you can go here to get the latest release plus ALL of the current betas. http://koti.mbnet.fi/pkallo/Files/Full_Racer_v0.5.2_beta6.1.exe
Note: if you try to configure the options on the full release + betas pack, use caution. Mine will crash the game when I try full screen mode, but that's prolly coz I have a crap bucket old computer.
Now, to download cars, go here....www.racer-xtreme.com ....lots of cars to download. Note if some cars handle erratically, it's the fault of the creator. Some of them can model cars nicely but are dumbasses when it comes to making use of the physics scripting. I reccomend the Mazda RX-8...very well modeled and great physics. Also, if you have a joystick or gaming wheel, I'd use that. Driving is much harder on the keyboard because you can't go half-throttle or turn to only half-lock, etc. Once you get the game running, there will be readme files when you download cars, telling you how to install them. Really a fun little game once you master the control. If anyone feels like giving it a shot, you won't be disappointed. :D
