Not really much of a race since we didn't have much road. But it went like this...
Me and my friends were on our way back from our Auto Tech class in Westbury, and drove down Charlotte Ave. under the overpass, for all you who might be familiar with the Hicksville area. It's that road where the Westbury Nissan service center is. Anyway. We always chase each other, but this was the first time I really jumped hard on my car. We pull into Charlotte Ave, and just gun it. The Continental (FWD V8) was tailgating this girl in a GMC Typhoon, but she didn't want to race. So, when I passed the two cars, my friend int he Lincoln was goign to change lanes, and almost hit my car. So, I moved over to the shoulder a bit, and all of the pebbles on the shoulder sprayed onto my friend(Doug/Gen4MaxSE)'s Maxima as he chased me down Charlotte. Before slowing to the first light (Duffy Ave.).
Me and the Continental make a left onto Old Country Rd. while my friend in the Maxima makes a right to go to East Meadow. The RSX and the Continental make another run, and I swear, that fucking car is FAST. We didn't really race, since there were cars in front of us, but I was able to floor it in 2nd gear to the redline, and that Continental stuck with me throughout the whole 2nd gear. :eek7: All you could see on the Continental was the front end lift up when he floored it. :lol:
Good times. My friend in the Continental was just using his Grandpa's car, and his actual car can whoop my RSX's ass. '83 Stang with intake manifold, carb, air filter, exhaust, distributor cap, and recently added a Comp cam. The idle is so sick on that thing.
