i went last year it was awsome... only a few hundred cars were supposed to show but there wind up being close to 1,000 through out the day rollin in and out.. and after the autocross ended the cops came in hardcore with helicopters and stuff and made everyone leave.. my crew was one of th first there and we were one of the last to leave . got it all on video. ill post my link to the pics later...

i think that supra would look hot if he had the right deep dish rims...

some ppl look at that car and go oh its ugly but if you know the kit and know its the widebody they use for the Top Secret supra in japan it makes the difference... its got nice paint but the rim RUIN it... plus it still has its stock twins in it i think.

Listen to this little story. I left work around 4pm last friday to drive down to DC. Not more than 20 minutes into my drive I get stuck on southern state for 2 hours. Didn't move an inch. Turns out some mother f*cker was hanging off an overpass trying to kill himself so they closed down both lanes of traffic to talk him down. I would have helped the guy do it for making me sit in traffic for 2 hours. After I finally got off I turned around. Did the guy really have to do this durring rush hour? Why he couldn't swallow a bottle of pills is beyond me. I woke up early saturday morning and of course it was pooring. Never made it do DC. Very sad:-(

anyways... my car will not be at Tobay Fest this year due to some sad news lol... my front caliper locked up and is causin my steerin wheel to vibrate and and my front end to vibrate at certain speeds/rpm's... smoke pours out of my front driverside caliper after a while of driving (noticed today on the way to work) it got so hot that the fluid inside boiled out ad filled with air. so i lost most of my brakes just before i got to work today which is 35-40 mins from my house so there was no turnin back lol... after i got out tongiht(after 12am) they seemed to cool and gained most of my brake use back... so i cant drive it till monday when it goes into the shop... sad i know lol.. ill be riding along in my friends white mr2... i guess ill have to look for you guys rather than you guys spot my car, o well.. we might go to RF Mall to meet up with some ppl...

From the Throgs Neck, you should take the Cross Island Parkway. Take the Cross Island to the Northern State Parkway heading East. Take that highway until you come up to Wantagh Parkway. Take the Wantagh Parkway going South. Keep going down the parkway, all the way to the end. Once you hit the roundabout for Ocean Parkway, head East. Keep driving until you see the sign for Tobay Beach park.

The key is to get to either Wantagh Parkway or Meadowbrook Parkway. And you can't access either from the LIE. You need to either access Northern State Parkway or Southern State Parkway from the Cross Island Parkway. Get onto either freeway heading East, and then go South on either Wantagh Pkwy or Meadowbrook Pkwy. Both highways should lead to Ocean Parkway. Get onto Ocean Parkway heading East until you reach Tobay Beach Park.

Yup. Basically. Just make sure, Southern State East. And then Wantagh South. And then Ocean East.

And a little word of mouth... DO NOT go racing on Ocean Parkway. It's really easy to get pulled over there since there are no real exits to get off of the parkway. Plus, there will be a lot of cops on hand in that area anyway.

Gen4MaxSE and I went out one night with another friend of ours to Queens for an NYCMaximas.org meet, and I was the one to lead the way. I swear to you, I was SO LOST when trying to find Francis Lewis Blvd. [paranoid] I didn't think there was an exit to Francis Lewis on the LIE, and I ended up trying to get off on the Cross Island Pkwy exit. Luckily, we called up someone and we finally got directions there. Never, EVER follow a Honda driver. :eyeroll

TobayFest this year was SO DISORGANIZED. Fucking cops shutting down Tobay Beach! If it wasn't, it would have definitely had a MUCH better turn-out. People were divided between Oak Beach and Captree. There we sooo many people cramped up in Oak Beach. I was like, "Nooo, they CAN'T have 1000 cars cramped up in here!" So, I went to investigate into Captree, and saw some cars already there (saw Andrea there, too! :lol:). So, I gave my buds a call and told them to come to Captree, since there was a LOOTTTT of room for other cars. I kept trying to call up Tom, but I kept getting either "Service Restricted" or "User Not Available: Tom-tdc." Nextel blows! :rant2: Anyway. I just got home from chillin' at my friend's house, so I'll post up my pics later.

No. Probably the only cop appearance was the State Park Trooper in his Blazer, who went and scolded a guy for taking his quad off of the bed of his truck. Other than that, no. Some people even spun their tires and did donuts.

Yeah I was at Captree for a couple hours. I was the 5th car in line at Tobay when they were telling us the shit was cancelled so I called Scott in a panic. I saw the lot at OBI and there was NO FUCKING way I was waiting on that line to get in!!! Captree was cool, the G35's, Maximas, Ferraris and some odds and ends were there...it was pretty cool.

vtec, do you got a teck banner? a friend i was with was like yo there was a red rsx with a teck banner over there.. i didnt see you nor andrea.. nor did i know there was another lot filled with cars... oak beach was good though it had like 8 supras, no joke like 40 evos (10 of them MR's) a few STi's, one testarosa, TONS of SRT4's lol (i guess there the new civic :dunno: lol j/p srt owners... :)

I don't have a banner. But I have TeckdemicsEast.com stickers on my rear side windows, and a red Teck ching sticker on the corner of my front windshield and just above the trunk lid on the rear windshield. My car was reverse parked right next to Andrea's in Captree. I also stayed in Oak Beach for a little bit, parked on the dirt and sand on the East side of the parking lot. And maybe he saw my car at the Roosevelt Field meet spot, since I think I saw the stock white MR2 there.

It would have been KILLER if everyone met up at Captree. Oak Beach was WAAAAY too small. And troopers are no joke. They were pulling cars over like crazy, and had ZERO tolerance today.

And the red RSX was probably me, because I was like, the ONLY RSX there. :lol:
