Kimble starts his own Rally, and offers 2 million in prize money.

From what I've heard, Kimble isn't someone I would place my complete faith in. But if Dado wants to go, who are we to say no? Personally I wouldn't go for the cash, but for the event itself. With that much money involved there are going to be a lot more outrageous (and dangerous) stunts than the Gumball and Cannonball runs.

If I had the money and time and car, I don't think I would go.

Kimble just fucked himself --> "Its not a rally its a race", Kimble or whoever he pays to take the blame will charged with organizing an illegal street racing event and won't do well defending himself when he advertises his Ulitmate 'Rally" in this manor. Also by having a cash prize at each checkpoint, that is going to make drivers stupid, thinking about the money and not the driving, there is going to be alot of nasty accidents in this 'rally'. But anywho, on a positive note, it will be hella fun to watch.

Well I have been on Kimble's forum and was following there discussion on the m5 board as well. From what I can see Kimble is just another person trying to live what we call here "The American Dream". But has the resources to pull this off and will probably hold it in a country that well cooperate with the event itself. From what I can tell Kimble well make this the Ultimate Spectacle! And with that kind of money on the line will attract some very interesting drivers from all over the globe. And from my point of view being the Events Director. I hope he does pull this off. It would be a one of the great achievements in the world, and something to talk and compare to for a very long time.

I wouldn’t go on that, some people will do anything to get that kind of money.

Remember Speed Racer??? And the Mach 5. Ours is called the Teck/Dtmpower M3.... There's nothing that can compete... Already battle tested during the Players Run this year

Just make sure the driver ditches the pursuing cop before taking a cigarette break this time around and he will OWN that rally.

Yeah this could turn out very bad. Like FlyingOct said people will do anything for that kind of money.

Dude, how can you not know Kimble!
His name is Kim Schmitz, just go to www.kimble.org and you will find out everything about him. He seems to want to rule the world or something.

This is gonna be one hell of a rally (RACE!!) if it goes on. I would not chance being in it, as with others said, the outcome might be more deadly than the reward. But from what i have read on his forum, he is milking the race, making a dvd and i think a game from it.

im having my doubts on route 3:

singapore - malaysia - thailand (bangkok) - laos - vietnam - china - hong kong

im not entirely sure abt this, i maybe wrong, but i think singapore have very strict rules about importing cars into their country.

although, malaysia would be cool. a stop at the sepang international circuit would own.

Not worth it. IF you are going to do a rally in Europe, stick with the orginal Gumball.

GIO
08-17-2004, 11:53 AM
This guy is very capable of making this happen plus he has all the top Cannonballers in his corner helping with this event. The plan looks very solid. I also liked the ideas. First time a race is really all inclusive. Even the shipping.

Vader13
08-18-2004, 02:01 AM
These guys are going for it. Rich guys need challanges
The Cannonball is the good one for Europe not the Gumball
Gumball has rockstars and shit
Cannonball has real drivers

Im stupid enough to actually want to go on this. Now all i need to do is find someone who needs a co-driver.

ProMSL
08-19-2004, 02:25 AM
man....you can be my co-driver! talk to your guys at autothority, find out if they'd be interested in letting us drive the porsche tt....that should compete with dado pretty well:)

Dude you guys would get scared of the speed once you went 45 mph, Dado travel constantly in the range of 160 mph to 180 mph. Sometimes faster if he is racing against someone who can actually give him somekind of competition.

ProMSL
08-19-2004, 09:16 AM
lol...hmm...sounds like a challenge...hmmm....ok, how bout it, hyper vs. teck road battle! just someone needs to donate me a car which I could do it in...

drift_enthusiast
08-19-2004, 09:33 AM
Autothority dosent have the porshe anymore it got wrecked. Mike just get a helicopter then you should be able to hang with dado easy. I dont really get the "scared at 45mph" thing though.

ProMSL
08-19-2004, 09:35 AM

lol. I don't get that scared at 45 MPH thing eitehr GIO... and If I had a car that'll go 180MPH, I'd get up there.. we already know that my car goes just over 160 ;)

I am glad they are calling it a race.
People can sue you for anything, so if they call it a race or a rally it does not matter, when you sign up for these things you drive at your own risk.

I also think they are smart if they invite Dado and let the Mischief crew come along.

"It's not a race, without Dado"

That should be the slogan.

They are making a HD movie.

ProMSL
08-21-2004, 12:09 AM
i dont understand, does he plan on selling it straight to tv stations? cause as of now, thats the only way to actually view hd. I think its about time someone actually make a car movie thats hd, but I think as of now with the technology available, it should be sold to the hd stations, as well as be made non-hd for dvd

Did anyone else notice this clause in their terms and conditions..

The organizer also reserves the right to cancel any event at any time for any reason. No refunds will be made in this case

Sounds a bit dubious to me!!

Here's 30k of my money and you may keep it ?? i dont $&%*(^ think so.

WOAH!! Yeah......what's the reason for that? He'll make out with a few mil for making a website and taking applications :) I feel bad for anyone get stuck in this possible situation! Though if you're paying $30,000 to drive around and party, you probably didn't need it to begin with [pimp]

Ehy,, Thats pretty strong ... Those guys "are friends of ours"
The people who enter the UR are the kind of people who spend 30K on dinner with Puff..If the UR spends all it's cash making this thing go off, and some crazy act of god stops the rally, it will be hard to refund everyone.

sounds insane, i don't think i would go... to risky people will do some crazy shit for 2mill. there is going to be some insane stunts on that rally. maybe for mischief VI.

ok, i have thought about this for a long time now, and i have some good news for you Dado, i have decided to let you take my Firenza for the rally. no need to thank me, just make sure fill the tank when you return it.

If Kimble can pull it off I will be amazed but as everyone has said someone will get killed and that will be the end of all the events.
Don't like the terms and conditions no refunds if he pulls the plug .

I think I'll just stick to my own humble event cannonball run where we have been lucky with some great people over the last few years .
