and in a car that wasnt mine (test - drive vehicle from the dealership)

without registration for the car

annnnnnnnnd having the license plate upside down so the cop "couldn't read it"


That was almost a $300 ticket - but by some act of god I took it to the court and got it dismissed! no points no fee nothin - lucky me :)

I didn't even end up buying that car lol

yea that sucks, in my area they use k band and in my local city police of winter springs, they use on demand shit or whatever so it doesnt go off till they want it to so you dont know they are there till its too late

The guarantee wouldn't work in this circumstance b/c it was driver error, not radar detector error b/c the detector spotted the cop way back but the driver refused to pay attention.

By the way, this is some helpful info. Both Maryland State Police and New Jersey State Police run X-Band every once in a while, so DON'T IGNORE THAT ONE.

how much is a V1/is there anywhere I can find one in Canada or am I going to have to put an order through the states? Also what other radar detectors are worth buying?

I have had lots of close calls, got pulled over lately for 125 in an 80, sweet talked her and got it down to 114 so it was nothing. But im known to to 200 or so regularily. I drove 4hrs home from a bike race @ 165, damn Pathfinder wouldn't go any faster

Cops use X Band on the Eastern Shore as well. I noticed that with my Escort Passport 8500. And by the way radar detectors are illegal for sale and illegal for use in Canada, so I don't think you will be able to order one in.

I got pulled over doing 33 in a 25 heh. 4 days after I got my license, I decided to lose the cops through a bunch of ally ways then finding the cop right before the turn into my driveway.

The passenger in the cop car was a kid I went to HS with. I got off with a year of probation, I had to write a letter to the cop explaining what I did and why I did it, and I had to go for a ride along with that cop which I might add wasn't all that bad it was actually pretty fun.
