I think they are a spectacular looking car, faster then the camaro (lighter), and basically is one of the cheapest car you can buy that will run 12's...just add some sticky tires, and your in the high 12s...can't go wrong there!

i mean a stock 98 SS camaro, on a cold day ran 12.87. When i say stock, i mean not a single thing was changed!...LS1's are BADASS!!

only issue with the F-bodys are the weight, supposedly the new 2007 Camaro if released will be a bit lighter and will only come in V8. If so thats my future car... if not ima keep saving and drop that 427 in under the hood and get a 6 speed tranny :-)

Why would you want to tell someone your engine size though? In this case put the size number on your car.

WHen i go out and drive around, i could care less who knows what i have, i will tell them if they ask. I hate when people get so secretive...like who gives a f*ck.. its BS if you ask me...stand up, be a man, let people know what you have, if you think you got it all...then it shouldn't be a problem if you show people!

Dam nright, hopefully the lil ricers will see that im pumpin a 427 and not tempt me into waisting my gas when they wanna try and go... if i saw a 427 on a 4th gen camaro i know i would get stomped and not waist the time nor effort, not to mention everyone has Z28 or SS on their cars. No biggie. If ya see a 427 and they have the engin to back it up... that car is Money!

I am working on a 427 do not have it in my car yet... but in all due time!
thus far the dyno has it at 560hp and with some of the problems it had were working on now, so im thinking i will have it in the car soon?

i didnt realize ls1's were that sick i ran an 00 ss camaro (stock) in my 01 gt k@n intake and bassani catbacks( not much over stock but hey) and as you guessed i lost:(

Not to sound like a dick, but the GT mustangs are so much slower than the LS1, but a good bit, you will need more than simple bolt ons to compete, not to mention he had a SS so he was running a 6 speed, and Ford has yet to put that in a stang

just so you know u can get a ls1 ss with a auto trans, so it could be a 6sp or auto a4(4l60e trans)

Yes you can i have done it to my friends car, all parts are interchangeable, just depends on what you want done on the degree of difficulty or if you need to make an extra mod here and there
