Jeremy Clarkson celebrates the 50th birthday of the Jaguar E-type by driving a modern, half a million pound interpretation of this classic sports car before putting on a typically low key birthday party involving live music, classic fighter planes and a group of Royal Marines.

Motoring show. Jeremy Clarkson, Richard Hammond and James May are in Italy to take part in a series of tricky challenges and increasingly loud arguments as they attempt to find the world's best hot hatchback. With Clarkson in the Citroen DS3 Racing, Hammond championing the Fiat 500C Abarth and May making the case for the Renaultsport Clio Cup, the trio attempt to navigate their way around baffling Italian towns and take part in a scavenger hunt before heading up to Monte Carlo where they're faced with a surprise test of their cars' performance.

Also in this show, Jeremy is out on the track in the McLaren MP4-12C supercar, while petrolhead comedian Ross Noble is the star in the Reasonably Priced Car.

James May tests the toughness of the new Range Rover Evoque by driving it through Death Valley, and then gauges its stylishness by using it to chauffeur a global megastar across Las Vegas.

There's also a full track test of the incredible McLaren MP4-12C as it meets its deadliest supercar rival, the Ferrari 458.

Plus, reigning Formula 1 world champion Sebastian Vettel is the star in the Reasonably Priced Car.

One of the best episodes I've seen in a while from them. Not only was the 1M segment really great, but all of it was really entertaining. I can't wait to see the rest of this series.

As expected, it shows the CLio even if it's a cup version, as an underpower 2.0 liter engine. Chassis good, but POS engine (and they are suppose to be ex Car maker champion!!!). MAybe it needs a better driver than May, but still crap!
The Fiat, well, small box POS as well, even with agressive kit (only good thing is the O.Z wheels!), and it's not a real Hot Hatch!
And the Citroën, quite a good car but still french. It shows that Citroën have really improuved is car not only with new style, but with decent and new engine! Good add for Citroën.

Yeah that got it to play (with subtitles oddly), but I was hoping for it to work on my tv. Oh well. I was amazing on how well that GT-R looked on the track, that thing defied the laws of physics.

Try the SD one Alan. I just started getting those anyway because I am low on hard drive space and because I don't notice a big difference in these episodes between the SD and HD encodes.

if you play through a ps3 especially, the upconverting is good enough to not need the HD version in my opinion

Like I said with the TG encodes I can barely tell a difference in quality between SD and HD yet HD is twice the file size. However Alan if you insist on HD try using Vuze or TVersity to watch them on your TV.

Nexus, can you reword that question? Having a hard time trying to figure out what you mean. I had problems with last week's episode playing on my PS3. My PS3 didnt recognize the file. My Xbox claimed it didnt exist, and my tv (which plays video files as well) couldnt recognize it either.

This latest episode, I just downloaded the SD version, which is an .avi, just so I could watch it on my tv. I'll download the HD version at a later time to replace it.

i use my ps3 over my wireless network to stream videos from my pc (widows 7 using the windows media player library system) avi and mp4 works, mkv does not

i think programs like tversity (never used) will allow you to play other types of files like mkv and others, so that might be worth a try

I have found that the PS3 does not like playing mkv files. Some play, some don't. If you manage to play an mkv on a PS3, you probably wont be able to FF or RW through it. I used to get a 'corrupted file' error, and it would refuse to play the file.
