We had a dust storm here.. Red dust came 100's of KM's (or Miles for you americans playing at home) and ruined every clean object known to man.

I woke up and honestly thought it was the end of the world... so I took photos incase there was insurance in Heaven.. But when I found out it was just red dust I went back inside and unfortunately had to get ready for work.

Here is the Subaru for the Jap lovers too

Might need to talk to you about your setup some more. I've been looking into audio for my E46 but the speaker sizes are so awkward...

Yes they were very annoying. In the end needed to punch the cones out of the old speakers in the front and use that and drill the new speakers into it. Worked ok but there is a small rattle in the drivers side door and it's a HUGE pain as no matter what I do we can't find/stop it. The most anoying part of the job was fitting the DVD player in the front center console and wiring all the USB and iPod shit into the back of it...That was a huge effort and cut hands..

Another Sydney member.... :welcome: I'm sure we'll bump into each other one day.

Oh and you're right about the US being expensive, I'm here right now and it's not as cheap as we (non Americans) might think!

I spent hours trying to install my Alpine headunit because it's so cramped until I found the easy way. You have to relocate the wiring harness from one side to the other, and you also need to pull the whole center dash. You have to pull the climate control box out and then unscrew the whole assembly between that and the headunit. It gives you so much more room to route the wiring and is EXTREMELY easy compared to trying to cram everything in.

I've seen a lot of people do the trick where they use the old speaker trim or cut their own brackets. I might just go BSW if I replace the speakers and then just wire my own sub. Are you on E46fanatics?
