The Stig, whoever that is, has been in dispute with the BBC over his attempts to write an autobiography. funny if they just released a book with no real text, just large pictures of certain tracks, corners, braking points, etc.

Very disappointing for him to reveal himself like that. I read he gets about 10 to 20 grand an episode, and he wants more money? So I can only hope this stig gets "killed" and we get a new stig, maybe a blue one.

The season is only 6 episodes long, thats at most $60,000 a year. Plus he lives in the UK, and at this exchange rate, thats an incredibly expensive place to live with that much money. Especially when the BBC makes millions off his character.

True, he still does auto racing, but if you were a famous character whos persona that was pretty much made by your skills, wouldnt you want some of the benifits from that?

I thought I read somewhere the 10-20 price range but I can't find it anywhere, but still he is also a stunt driver so he makes his money that way. And yeah I can understand wanting more money for his part, but since he has been unmasked the chances of him being fired and getting no money has increased ten fold. He might get one book deal out of this, but did anyone buy any books by the black stig?

Yeah not surprised that he would be fired, I mean who couldn't see that coming, the question is whether or not they change his color. And I think Grey would be the color, but I would like to see a Blue Stig, I don't they will go red because they had the Communist stig a few seasons ago.

I would say it has a bit, word is that the new series of Top gear has been pushed back to early part of next year. And that word comes from Top Gear Magazine, there is also a rumor going around that there will be a Christmas Special. And the big rumor is that they are thinking of getting rid of the Stig completely, and I don't mean replacing the white Stig, but getting rid of the entire character. So it's going to be a bit of a wait for new Top Gear.

I just got done watching 5th Gear's newest season opener, they have Ben Collins! It seems like every week they give him a new challenge, this one was running/launching dragster. It's pretty cool to see him actually talk and get his own segment! Check it out!

That's interesting I didn't notice that before, you might be right. But I do wish they had changed the color, and they might still, this is just the Stig for the Top Gear Live show, so he might not make it into the actual show. Only two weeks now till the Top Gear US so that will be cool, and we have a white stig as well.

I think they are sticking with the same color for marketing reasons. Just think of all the money they would have to spend changing all the products they make with the white Stig on it.
