I found a few pics I had taken of my RX-7 and decided to share.

The car isnt much to look at as its been in some state of tear down or bulid for a very long time and were just now gearing up to move forward with it.

I bought this car for just $7521 from a local dealership that was going to send this to auction but I still had many friends there that pulled it out of the wholesale lot and put it past inspection.

For a $7500 wholesale car I got LOTS of fun out of it and the stock setup.

At the time I was importing a few parts to flip here and there and decided to get a set of TEIN spring and shock upgrades and some Mazdaspeed MS-02s.
A magnesium center wheel, 17x8 up front and 17x9 rear wheel made by RAY'S.

IM a real big JDM RX-7 nut. So of course I had to pick up a few RE pieces as well.

Classic RE shift knob. They discontinued the red a very long time ago.

I soon found the reason the car was up for wholesale. The turboes were leaking a decent amount of oil thanks to shaft play which I kept up with but one of the blades nicked the housing decently enough to let the engine ingest it. So the engine removal and tear down started.

Before everything was torn out I started test fitting and measuring different things in preperation for my single turbo conversion.

HID Fixed headlight conversion.

And a massive intercooler taken from a Mack Truck. We cut 2/3rds off the bottom which a deer ran into, capped the two end tanks and ran a straight piece of aluminum plate across the bottom to protect the core. The inlet and outlet fit perefctly under the headlights and need a 45 degree elbow to come into the engine bay thru factory openings under the headlights.

The plan is to run an externaly wastegated HX35 and the block has been very heavily ported. The largest street port KDRotary was willing to do without doing a semi bridge or a port that would end up popping corner seals into a turbo. So here it sits in storage for quite some time waiting for me to get a regular day job and back to work on it

Mmm..the lights that kit uses are only about 2" in hight. 2.5" With the mounting bracket. Im sure you could get an alluminum plate/sheetmetle bracket made that would mount it and hold the balast in the engine bay. Piece of Lexan and a few minutes in an oven will get you a smooth lense cover and a piece of rubber is the only thing behind it all.
