Man... I really loved playin that game when it came out. But can they really overcome the phenom that has been produced by MW2 and BC2?? I mean, have you seen how often I've played MW2...? I mean, I really like playing MW2. The problem is that the realistic nature of BC2 has enthralled me mo much that I don't know if any other FPS can impress me. :dunno:


I'll keep my eyes peeled and ears perked for more info on this though. Gaming in 3d could be pretty damn fun!

BC2 is going to be tough to beat but I'm sure people will get bored of it eventually and would be willing to try something fresh. I honestly like KZ2 a lot more than MW2 personally. KZ2 was just so much more action packed where as MW2 had too much "downtime" The ability to blow peoples heads off was also a plus XD I'm thinking about buying another copy of KZ2 just to see if I still got it lol. I really need to stop selling my games when I lose interest.

Killzone 3!!!!!!!!!!!!! will be released on February 25th, and like the previous game, the demo will be released about a week before the actual game (February 16th). If you're a PS Plus member, you'll be able to play the demo on February 9th though!! Hoemaigaaaaah!!

The first few times I started it I couldn't even get into a match because it would freeze on the loading screen. I just quit the game and restarted it and it worked fine. I assume the freezing is because of all the traffic. Other than that, in game it runs smooth as silk. I had to get used to the controls all over again, I'm not used to ADS with R3 and L1 or whichever one it was being the melee. There's an option to switch them though.



Yeah, changing the controls was one of the first things I did.

Check this out, its REALLY slow updating (I'm a Lance Corperal II and have a KDR of 1.34 at the moment), but you can track your stats along with all your friends.

Also, clan support? BOSS is the clan name. Carried over from Black Ops and I have a friend who will join us in matches. Just a heads up I suck at FPS's on consoles but I will do my best!

This is how MAG should have been from the start. The weapon unlock system is exactly like MAG, along with little things like repairing, etc. But the controls are great, movement is so nice, and hit-detection is epic. 3 things MAG lacked big time.


I made it up to Lance Corporal III I think before I stopped to take a break. How long is this beta open for? Until the game comes out?

EDIT: Found it, its in-game. If you have already created a clan, enter the Multiplayer menu, then select "Clan Tournaments", then scroll down to "Disband Clan".

EDIT 2: Ok, WTF? I just lost credit for 30 kills. I ended my night with 104 kills and a 1.46 KDR. Now Im at 74 kills and a 1.26 KDR.

Heads up people, be careful playing Warzone. I think that map has some serious issues. I was running next to the building area down in the snow and then just randomly I would fall into water and drown, even though there isnt any water in the center of the map. Also, I think people have discovered you can either glitch into walls, or shoot thru them. It seems like every time I died a wall was shooting me.

BOSS just means BOSS. We started it up for Black Ops. Also BOSS was actually taken in the beta already (WTF!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! !!!) and so was B0SS which is why I had to use those funky symbols whatever they are called. Oh well it'll do. I still couldn't believe it was already taken though. Fucking internet.

There was server maintenance earlier today, and I think that was the cause as to why I lost 30 kills and a whole rank. Oh well, took a couple matches to get that back, but then I found out about Operations mode. If you want to build up some points, play Operations. I racked up 4925pts and went 21-8 in one match, I went from a low rank 9 to a low rank 10!

Im waiting for them to come out with the gun mount for the PS Move, its special for KZ3. With remapped buttons, it should be the best gun mount for the PS Move controllers on the market when it drops later this month.

Dude, I know what you mean. I got knifed, then the guy that knifed me got knifed, then THAT guy got knifed. I watched it all as I was waiting to respawn. It was a big circle jerk.


Anyways, I just had an epic match. We lost, but still kicked ass. Top tip: triple frag kills will net you roughly 1000+ points. I know this because I got one in this match, haha.

I started with the M82, but then switched to the Engineer class and used the LMG.


I good way to snipe is in Operations when defending. Just sit in that room at the bottom of those stairs and anytime someone pops their head up, boom. One team was doing that and they absolutely raped us.

I did notice they made one of the same mistakes on this beta that they fixed in KZ2... when someone spans, they're invincible for like at least 3 seconds if not as many as 5. But in those 5 seconds, they can kill 3 people

Now imagine you were the guy that just respawned next to 3 enemies that were spawn camping the shit out of your team. Sure, this invincibility is frustrating to the people doing the spawn camping, but so is being on the receiving end.

That's why you can have Tacticians on your team to allow you to spawn elsewhere...or at least in this version there are multiple points you can control to spawn. If I just killed 5 guys to get to the point I want to capture, shouldn't I be able to fight for it without being guaranteed to get killed by someone with no skills...but they can hit the melee button while invincible?

As for the spawning, at least on this one map for Operations, the spawn points and the capture points are not in the same place. They are close, but not in the same places. Also, that invincibility thing, I dont think the person is aware they are getting shot at while they are invincible. I was defending while playing Operations, we JUST lost a point, and I was running to defend the last set of objectives. As I was leaving the building, 2 enemy players spawned, literally, right in front of me and started running the same way I was going. I started shooting them, with them still being invincible, and they just kept running! Didnt turn around, didnt say "hey, who the fuck is shooting me I wonder quietly to myself", nothing. I just ran up to them and knifed them both. They were completely clueless that I was right behind them the whole time.


Right now the ONLY thing that is pissing me off is that disguise perk bullshit. So fucking annoying that I have people pretending to be on my team walking right up to me and killing me. Just because of that perk this game could never have a hardcore mode. Teammates would spend the entire game shooting each other.

bleh, I'm gonna buy a new headset. I can't find my blu-tooth and my logitec corded mic allows me to speak but the output speakers are shot so I have the team speak coming out of my tv which is hard to hear with all the gunfire and death going on.

The other night I was about to call it a night and pass out, but I checked the website stats and noticed you had me by about 1200pts, and I couldnt in let the day end on that news :P

So I jumped on, entered into a match more than halfway thru, went 5-0. Then I let the next match start up, had one of the best matches ever, roughly 5800pts. My progress meter filled up but stopped JUST short of ranking up, so I had to play another match to fix that, lol.

Why is it different than all the others? Well, for starters, thats made by Sony themselves, specifically for Killzone 3. Also, all the buttons are remapped to the buttons built into the gun, so your reload button is where it should be, near the trigger, the trigger actually works, etc etc. I've been reading up on Move gun holders, and all of them suffer from the same problem, still being forced to use the buttons on the wands instead of on the accessory. This thing solves that problem, I just want to know if its worth the $40 for it, on top of the game's cost.

Doesn't that thing work with the playstation eye or is that just for the Move? If you do decide to get it, wait for the reviews to come out first. As for me, I'll stick with my controller lol.

Wasn't really sure about picking this one up. I didn't buy kz2, only played it at l3it3r's. I bought this game today and the sharpshooter controller. It certainly takes sone getting used too. I had to play around with the settings quit a bit to find something that was sway to manage. The only day to look around is to point the gun near the edge of the screen in the direction you want to look. It's kinda odd. It makes quick turn and fire situations kinda odd.

Edit, not sure if its related but both my wrist are aching and i think its from the sharpshooter. Its not that heavy nor is it awkward to hold but my wrist sure are hurting

Lol I beat the campaign last night. I've been playing Operations as well and I love it. Especially when you have a team that actually goes for the objectives.

I guess the clan system reset when the official game went live. I'm clanless now :(

My kdr actually started out at about a .68 for my first two days. Then bounded up to 1.10. I'm very happy there.

My tactician kdr is WAY better than as a medic. So when you see my kdr drop...you'll know I'm trying to revive a bunch of people. :)

You need to play more matches with Fuzznuts and I, Steve. Him and his clan are very good at communication and watching your back. Honestly, you can't get anywhere in this game unless you have a decent set of people to play with.

Starting to get my KDR up just one match at a time. Was a 1.11 last week, up to a 1.20 right now. Had 3 games where I picked up the 100 points for highest KDR too.

Ok...last night & today I have just been an ass after I went negative in one match. LOL Went and started sniping for kdr & head shots. Also played a couple times with melee kills while cloaked. :nonono2: Surprised I haven't gotten any hate mail yet.

One poor guy killed me twice while I was a tactician & put me 2 kills down. So, I just decided since there weren't many people in the match & my kills weren't coming fast enough that I would snipe & get back to being a tactician after I died....never happened. Ended up that the kills that were available for me were the same guy....six times in a row. I felt kinda bad for the guy, but I couldn't hold back my laughter either.

The kills were from one end of boulevard to the other...and I'm NOT a good sniper in this game. lol. I fall into the mindset I was in BC2 where I'm leading people as they run or trying to account for elevation & distance. My son and I could just imagine that poor guy cussing up a storm. ;)

Idk, sniping is a lot easier in this game for me than others. I tried sniping once in Mw2 and gave up the first time because I sucked so bad lol. The only map I do use the sniper in is the Boulevard and I always get over 20 kills and little to no deaths.

Your story reminds me of this match a couple members of SB clan and myself were in. We were holding down the bottom section of the long hallway that leads away from the computer room and this same guy just kept trying to kill us. Now, there's only 2 ways to get to where we were; either run out in the open up the stairs, or run out in the open down that long hallway, we had both those locations covered :lol:

Poor guy kept switching up where he wanted to rambo us from but we kept taking him down, changing positions each time we killed him so when he or another member of his team came around a corner and shot randomly, they'd more than likely be shooting into empty space.

3rd game was 48-22... scored over 22,000 points after all said & done. LOL

Yea those were a great couple matches we had. I need to use a different class besides Tactician and Marksman. I may just go Medic or Infiltrator because I love those silenced AR's. I'll use the standard pistol for close quarters fighting :D

Finally got around to beating the campaign, what a pain in the ass that turned out to be. But I got it, time to move on.

You have to admit though. The level before the final level (where you have to destroy the MAWLR) Was fucking BADASS! Especially if you have surround sound XD

The missiles got me once, the thing that annoyed me was the continous lack of cover and the awful lock-on feature of the WASP.

I also hated getting killed while on a vehicle I couldn't control. Like its somehow my fucking fault the jackass driving couldn't avoid the incoming fire.


One of the cool things I liked was that I played it in 3D, that was cool as hell! But that led me to a question, what if a video game wanted to pull a jackass move and require you to play the game in 3D to get a trophy/achievement? That would just be cruel, lol.
