Not a fan of LI Iced Teas believe it or not.
More of a Jack & coke, 007, Red Bull Belvedere kind of guy.
If I want to get fucked up with the quickness I just drink about 4-5 Red Devils in a row. Then do a few Brave Bull shots.

What's it like there in LI? I plan to move soon, but dont know where. I lived in Hurricanes in Florida for 17 years. The snow... eeeekkk, lol. I guess i could get a really big coat.

OK, LI 101!!
It's not like Alaska or anything, lol, yeah it snows, winters can be pretty cold for a few weeks, but nothing unbearable. It's VERY rare that it snows so much the roads are unpassable. Plus, the plow system we have is really on point when big storms go down so they are on it before you even wake up in the morning. ONCE in all my life I got stuck out in a blizzard while I was at work and had a really hard time getting home and got my car stuck in a snow drift, but I dealt with it and moved on...made for a good story :p But March-October are gorgeous and there is nothing like seeing all the colors on the trees in the fall and the leaves on the ground, ice skating on a REAL pond or cuddling in front of a fire :) Hell, 2 years ago, I washed my car on X-mas Eve, is was 67. So it's not as bad as you think! Yeah, every 5 years we have a nasty hurricane, but I have family all over Long Island and no one in my family has ever been effected other than power outages or basement flooding for the ones who live RIGHT on the water. Spring and Fall in New England are perfection! Plus.....you got me, NYC, the Hamptons (party city if you got DEEEEP pockets), great shopping and awesome beaches all in one place :) Ok so we pay more for everything from toilet paper to homes than most anybody...but it's worth it! :thumbs:

she lies!! the snow plow guys suck during big storms! we had a few nasty storms last winter. yea, as i was sitting at an intersection about 7 or 8 plows passed me.... all with the plows UP! useless fuckers :( they don't really plow the roads until around 4-5am. so, if you're out driving before then, well... you're on your own ;) lol
but all you need are good snow tires and you're fine. just go slow and don't slam on the brakes or try to turn really fast... you'll be just fine, i promise ;)
everything on LI is sorta on the expensive side... but heh, that's LI for you. i like it, def wouldn't mind moving back down there after i finish school, or going to a different school down there eventually.
all in all, it's a great place to live, and the winters for the most part, aren't all that bad. much more mild than what i get up here (1 and 1/2 hr's north).

Long Island is pretty chill. Definitely a nice place to grow up.

Yes it was i live like 15 minutes away so i went and i also got to meet Gio through a friend of mine. It was an ok show I saw some rides that were nice but i really liked the 2 Skylines that were there.

I used to go every tuesdays but it started to get repetitive with the cars and it also was getting boring too. I can't wait for Bimmerfest on 10/2/04 at Nassau Coliseum. That's gonna be real fun.

Yeah, it's definitely worth it a couple times though. You get some serious cars over there, not just a bunch of Camaros and Civics...that's not saying their aren't a million of them there though :) Yeah I live closer to the Coliseum (ok I live right near it, lol) so I might check that out depending on work...dunno yet!

i was gonna go to that one also :p lol by the time i got home from work and showered, etc, i would have been getting to LI right around rush-hour, so, there was no way in HELL i was gonna bother driving down then. i've been to bald hill on tues nights a few times, not so bad. a lotta cars every time i've went.

North Shore this, South Shore that... I think Hicksville (where I love) is in the middle. Anyway, Long Island is a very nice to live in. All my high school friends say that Hicksville sucks and stuff, but they're all just ignorant little children. :whatever: Very pleasant region of New York... well populated, but not super busy. Very quiet, but not very boring. I love it.
Can't wait for Bimmerfest in Nassau Coliseum. Definitely should be a fun show to watch.

Honestly, yes :) If shes upstate then no problem, its comparable to most other regions. But areas of Nassau and Suffolk counties I have some of the highest living costs in the nation. There are several areas to stay away from though completely! It's hard for a college student because apartments are not cheap. I was in Real Estate and even 1 bedroom apt in peoples houses in average neighborhoods were in the $1100/month range. Yeah, some go for $850, but I wouldn't even let my dog stay there if you know what I mean!! Hopefully her college has a dorm though! Unless shes going to one of the few Colleges on LI, shes prob going somewhere upstate.....but I dont know, you didnt say :)

yea thats smart... i had a thread about gettin a few people together from LI to meet up, but it got closed cause i mentiond the words video shoot. so i wont mention that this time, But i wanna get a bunch of people with hooked up cars to go for a day in beginning of November.. Not sure on date. need a minimum of 15 cars or so to make it worth wild for everyone..i had a response bout a few SRT-4's and im gonan try n get a few other DSM's too.. i figured this would be the best way to spread the word of a "mini-meet" so if interested or knwo anyone who is PM me n ill give you the full info
...I doubt this is "spam" but if someone takes that it is, i dont mean for it to be, i just dont know of any better way to get a bunch of people together in an organized fashion...
