I am hoping you guys can help me with these:
You know the auto-change wallpaper feature on Win7? Well, unlike on my desktop which doesnt work for some reason, it does work on the laptop. However, what it isnt allowing me to do is change the orientation of the wallpaper from Stretched to Centered or anything else. The drop-down menu appears to let me make changes, but the changes dont go thru. The wallpapers remain stretched no matter what I do.
Also, my laptop wont acknowledge that my Homegroup exists. It say in the directions, if you have a Windows7 computer already on your Homegroup, then click "Join Group", I dont have that option on my laptop. It only allows me to "Create a Homegroup" when my desktop already has one setup. I know its setup because my PS3 is on it as well.
Any clues guys???

well for the second one, homegroup is different than the media sharing for the ps3
on your desktop have you gotten to a screen where it says "write down this password to share" etc?
in your network and sharing centre, go to the "change advanced sharing settings", make sure you have network discovery, file and printer sharing, media sharing, and homegroup connections allowed on both systems
on your desktop at the main "network and sharing centre" screen, in the view your active networks area, does it say "homegroup: joined" if not then its not right, if yes, then that is odd, lol.
if its not working, go into the homegroup options and check everything, that you have things actually shared, that you know the password, etc.
for the wallpaper thing, are you 100% sure that the wallpaper images arent the correct size for your monitor to start with? if that was the case the changes wouldnt be apparent obviously. try setting a really small picture and see what happens on the different modes
hope that helps

It does say that I am Joined to a Homegroup on my Desktop. My laptop, however says "Create Homegroup", almost like it doesnt detect the one my desktop is on. I just want to share files back and forth between my laptop and desktop without a damn thumbdrive.
As for the wallpapers, the screen res on my laptop is 1366x768, the wallpapers are all 1280x800.

hmm, well you can simply "share" the folders if you want also so they are discoverable on the network. just right click on the folder, properties, sharing, and share the folder
in advanced permissions you can add "your computer name"\HomeUsers ( ex. Sylon\HomeUsers ) and see if that helps? I had to do that so i could allow full permissions on my homegroup so the other computers can edit files, etc
as for the backgrounds, lol, i dont know, it doesnt seem to be working obviously, even though it should :/

Microsoft is still working out the kinks :thumb:
Sometimes a quick reboot can help move things along!
That also sounds like a registry error, have you run ccleaner any time recently, you could check for registry faults.

I don't like the wallpaper rotate thing that comes with 7. I am about to switch back to Wallpaper Master.

Yeah but if for some reason you want to change it manually you have to open the folder, pick one, hit select all, then hit save changes again. Wallpaper Master has a random button. It also seems to cycle through more before showing the same ones.

What do you mean change it manually? Just right click on the desktop and select "next desktop background". It will pick one thats in your folder. And once you add a wallpaper to that folder, it automatically selects it for the slideshow.
