Saturday night, 1/15/05 we went out to try to find some people and maybe a little street racing. Didn't really see any racing but met some cool people. I took a few pics of his car, but the lighting was terrible in the parking lot we were in. Oh well. Then on Sunday he did a big ass burnout because he was getting some free tires anyway.

damn. i love the steeda stangs, those saleen, and roush are the only mustangs i would be cought dead driving, unless it was the newer body style, and then only if it's a GT.

what are the stats on that beast.

what ate the stats on that beast.

I don't know if he'll see this thread or not, so I'll try to explain it as closely to what he would say as I can. Basically, he was building the engine for a twin turbo setup. But he got out here to Arizona and twin turbo setups in muscle cars are a dime a dozen. Now he's thinking about a turbo-supercharged setup. But basically his engine has everything done to it you would need for a twin turbo, without the turbo. It's also not built for drag racing like a lot of people ask, it's for autocross. He said last week that he does autocross because "anyone can drive fast in a straight line."

i agree with him 100%, drag racing is all about who has the most money into there car/ best parts. auto-X is all about who can drive there car the best.

drag= car doing most the work
Auto-X= driver doing most the work.

The night photos just needed the lighting setting on the camera to be adjusted to 'incandecant' they'd look 100 better if you had done that. When are you guys going to be going out for some photos next? I haven't had any photoshoots lately and I'm really wanting to do some more work and Brock's car is awesome..

I'll probably get more shots next weekend, but we're out in Arizona. I don't know if you're aware of that. I don't know the next time you'll see his car to get some shots :) Can you tell me a little more about the "incandecant" setting on a camera? Hit me on a PM or AIM if you want. Thanks Chris.

Tonk
01-16-2005, 10:05 PM
Yeah he just kinda up and moved out here because his wife went to ASU and likes the area (I think).

I think I may become the designated photographer for his site out here, so Chris, give me all the advice you can!

on your cam there should be a setting you can change that adjusts the way that the CCD percieves light. It actually 'sees' the lighting in a different way and adjusts the catpure. If you had set the cam to the proper setting, that orange light, would have looked like it had when you were there. Open up the manual and look up how to change the lighting settings.. might have something to do with exposure on your cam.. as always, experimentation is the best way to learn

Same type of lighting:

http://img36.exs.cx/img36/8205/srts5kf.jpg

the setting might change an icon on your camera that looks like a light bulb.

Actually he was originally planning on popping them but this guy started walking towards us to we told him to stop. We did it in this business park kinda place, but it was Sunday so we figured all the places would be closed. Well I guess this one place was open and this guy came outside so we stopped it because we didn't want the owner of the shop getting into trouble business wise. Actually the whole thing probably wasn't any more than about 30 seconds, 45 seconds at the most.

Don't worry, you're not stupid :) The concept has been around for a while, but only recently has someone actually been able to do it.

It is also known as 'hyper-charging'. I can just imagine what a hassle it must be to devise such a complicated fuel management system. Full boost is probally made under 3k!!! Here is the website of the guy that's doing it at the moment (with mert's help) to his e36 m3. There's some pretty sick videos to go along with it as well. Later

That kid that got beat by Brock......if I remember correctly, he has an E30 3-series with a 1995 E36 3-series engine in it with just a few goodies. 175hp is pretty good for a car that light. I'm surprised he got beat by Brock though because Brock usually doesn't push his car too hard.

WHITE BOY
02-05-2005, 04:06 AM
No, I push my car hard. Its just slow and LOOKS like im not pushing it.
I remember that ride. Looked really clean and had a nice stance. Wasnt racing him though. The lady infront of me was driving so slow and it was bugging the hell outta me. So I romped on it to HOPEFULLY scare a droppa pee right outta her.

Never seen a reverse-kill story.
