So, question.... Will I need to have played GT5P and already have all my licenses to transfer then to GT5? What do ya think? Cause, I wasn't going to buy GT5P, I was just gonna wait for the full game.

there aren't any licenses to get in GTP, as far as I can tell. You just buy the cars and compete in the events in each progressive level.
If its a brand new, stand alone game, I expect it to start out just like the other full games, taking a license test. It would be a good idea to reward those that have completed Prologue as well, I wouldn't be surprised if there is a way to port over your cars.

It will be here before Christmas, I would bet on it. I really really hope so. GT5 is the reason I purchased my PS3. It's cool, though. I'm still rocking out GT4 and GT PSP will be here on Oct. 1st to hold me over.
We should set up GT PSP matches, with a wi-fi you can set up private races FWIW.

I was just thinking that if we all get the game then we could set up a few private races :loki:

Could we really see GT5 in the next few months?
Last week, Sony announced that Gran Turismo 5 would launch by March 2010. The folks at Polyphony Digital don't see things that way, though, as company boss Kazunori Yamauchi told reporters at a GT5 event that the game could launch in late 2009. And Yamauchi has apparently mentioned that both U.S. and European street dates won't be far behind the game's Japan launch, but the GT5 founder says that the exact launch date will be determined by marketing. Marketing? How about a soft launch for the hardcore GT5 enthusiasts while the ad geeks figure out how to sell the most advanced version of one of the most popular racing game franchises in history?

So wait, you need to work your way up to different cars? That blows. I think my PS3 will remain a bluray player / media streamer.

Its always been like that. You dont start off with the best cars, where is the challenge in that?
Also, if any of you get GT5 for the PSP tomorrow, once the PS3 version comes out you will be able to transfer your cars over from the PSP version to the PS3 version.

Cheat what? You really haven't played games in a long time huh? You're probably gonna have to download a hacked save game or something :dunno: I don't cheat, so I dunno.

I believe the most fun me and my friends have ever had in GT are our one lap battles with the slowest possible cars. Everything counts. In fact I enjoy the slower cars for that very reason.
