Star Ocean 4: the last hope

is officially heading to the Playstation 3. The latest Famitsu issue reveals that the previously Xbox 360 exclusive game will be ported to the Playstation 3 as Star Ocean: The Last Hope International.

The upcoming title is more than a straight port as it will contain new characters, better menus, improved targeting during battles, and dual-language support for English and Japanese in addition to subtitles for multiple languages. Star Ocean: The Last Hope International will be released in Japan on February 4, 2010.

Although Square Enix hasn’t confirmed a North American release yet, a recent GameFly listing might have leaked their plans. Here is the scan of ad from the upcoming game:

Awesome news, I've been noticing the lack of RPG's on the 3. I was really into Star Ocean 3.

I saw a trailer for it a while back for the 360 and the story looked interesting, but if it's another turn based rpg then count me out.

I have this game on the Xbox 360, epic game I loved it, didn't know it was coming to the PS3 though, now I will have to decide if I want to pick it up again for the PS3 or not, hmmm course on the Xbox 360 it's 3 discs, but I missed a lot of action scenes the first time through. Good to hear its coming though.

Damn seriously?? A beta? That's one hell of a beta game then. Well I will be looking forward to it then, I wonder if they will change the voices on some of the characters, Lymle was soooooo fucking irratating. Wanted to kill her so badly.
