The 2005 North American International Auto Show is by far, the best "new car" show in the United States. Once again we drive 8 hours from Washington DC to cold-ass Detroit. We arrive at Dr. Gray's house Saturday evening.
Dr. Gray's and Audrey's (AMGgirl) cars were in storage for the weather. That sucked. I really wanted to race the SL AMG against the SLK AMG just for kicks. I also wanted to play around with the Lambos but all the cars were hibernating. The only cars that they drive in the winter is the ML55 and their new 745iL. Pretty nice winter beaters!

I really like the 745iL. It's a freaking big car but it handles really well. I like the ride better than the Arnage T. Plus there's a lot of cool gadgets to play with. The I-Drive really isn't that bad and after a few tries, I got the hang of it. I really like the orange interior lighting on the doors and roof. A nice touch.

After the first media day was complete, I had a brilliant idea. We haven't played in the snow in almost a year and I knew a great place that would could go off-roading. We drove a couple miles to Belle Isle. It's a little island state park. Anyways, within 10 minutes of leaving the show, I managed to get our Trail Blazer stuck in the mud in the middle of a field on the island. Great. Not the safest place to be in one of the most dangerous cities in the US! We tried for 30mins. of digging and kicking to try to free the truck but nothing worked. Ghetto mobile after ghetto mobile drove up to us to see what we were up too. We started to get really nervous. The locals knew we were stuck. A couple cars came by with their lights off. Remember, we weren't on a main road. We were in a snow covered field. I called a tow truck and he finally arrived after 2 uncomfortable hours. On top of all this, I had the worse gas. Brian and Daniel were not happy.
The tow truck operator knew that we were in trouble so he jacked the tow another $50. I didn't care at this point. "Just get us the fuck out of here". No more playing around in the snow in the hood.
