///M3 vs Focus??

Suprising as it is this wasn't the 1st time a focus has challenged the Power of the ///M. The 1st time I had my GF w/me and no racing when shes in the car. Well, yesterday I was on 495N and this silver Focus came up on me.
It is silver, blk projector lights, no badging, and a really canted muffler. May be a supercharged SVT(not sure). He pulled up and he took off...so I say f#@$ It why not? so then Im off he tried to keep up but...The Power of the ///M was too much for him. when I hit oh...125mph he was about 6-8 car lengths behind. The road is a lil windy. But if anyone has info on this car/share. Located around College Park. I think this may be the same focus.

next you should have a run at the focus Z351. a buddy of mine has a SVT focus with a jackson "super duper CAI" (supercharger) and it runs high to mid 13's depending on the air temp.

Back when it was turbo'd the Focus whooped an M-swapped 318ti. He tucked his tail and went back to the SCCA. Since then, we've all become good friends! :)

here's my focus story

There was this marroon/black svt focus with an ungodly sized wing on the back and a chrome coffee can exhaust reving its little hamster powered engine beside me in my 100% stock 99 Jetta 2.0. The light we were stopped at change green and we both floored it. he got me on acceleration up till i hit bout 50mph. he then proceeded to disappear in my rear view mirror. i still see this focus almost on a daily basis cuz he lives bout two blocks away from me. every time i get beside him i rev the little jetta and laugh at him

if i remember right, the car does not come with nitrous, it comes all hooked up so you just have to buy a bottle and hook it up, but i think i heard that they can't sell it equipt with the nitrous. there was a focus at the NAIAS last year called the Focus N20, i think it was built by saleen.

well the saleen focus i saw already had the bottle in the trunk. i saw it. it wasnt filled up though or hooked up. they said all u had to go do was getting it filled and then wired up to the engine. but the connections going up to the engine were already there.

Thats correct. To keep the warrenty they do it this way. Hook up the N20 and say good by to that.

Also most focus owners do the same as most honda owners and goto pep boys and get the can and huge wings. But if done correctly they can be pretty quick monsters.

The whole pass right from the start went very well i could feel out of the hole she hooked up and was pulling hard.

My boost was 27 (Gauge) 30 (Boost Controller)Psi not sure what one is right i would guess the gauge.

I was on my 2 year old drag radials (grabbed the wrong set when i loaded the cars )BFG G-Force Drag Dadials(DOT)tires.

I am 5 PSI more boost and hooked up the Overdrive on the Lentech from the Atlanta 12.71 pass. I was hitting the rev limiter at about 3 car length from the lights (Atlanta) and now can pull all the way through the lights I think this made a BIG differance

The ZX3 is still on STOCK Cams and Ignition and running.

I have 10 Psi still there not used and a 125 shot of Nitrous that has yet to be used down the track BUT. Now i have to decide where to stop. With FFW DEMANDING a 5 point cage , safety belts , Drivers Jacket and needing something more than the stock brakes and brake pads . I have to decide just how far do i want to go and how much more to spend on keeping it street legal ?????
