looks like it has a little tC and audi tt in it, but the 3.8l engine with 260hp and tq doesnt look like it will be the pushover engine that the 3rd gen had.

overall I think its an improvement over the 3rd gen :) I expect they will charge a lot though, and whats with the door handles?

I was looking at this a couple hours ago and opened up photoshop because I decided that a simple, clean, stock looking lowered body kit and bigger wheels make a big difference:

I personally think it's ugly as sin, and that's saying something, I DRIVE A NEON! two actually... but I can see its potential.. but I'd like to see the return of a 2nd gen DSM tuning style ecplise.. a 4g63 in an ecplise GS-T or something.. that would be the shit.

It's not as nice as the 2nd gen, but compared to the 3rd gen, I think it's a step up.....a bit 350-esque in the rear side profile.

ive seen one in person at the auto show at the javit center.. it was aright. had a pretty cool orange color that was different. i agree with you andrea,, they need to bring back the GSX... but as far as 2g's go.. there so common. thats why i like my 1st gen.. not as common seen modded. i prob see another 1st gen with work done to it once in a blue moon by me.. and they barely have anything done to it other than bov and exhaust.

The front end looks like a Montero... but I think the side looks like a Cougar too... I wish they did remake the 4g63's, especially the GSX, then I'd have more parts when I'd brake stuff. I just can't wait to see what problems these things have...2g's stock bov sucked, intake manifold and TB were all replaced by 1st gens. I hope they don't put a 7 bolt in the motor what ever they do.... Crankwalk = horrible.

i guess its better than the 3g but not much. idk what to think of it until i see one in person. they should bring the 2g back! but not with the 4g63, at least a redesigned one. that motor was unrelaible as shit. granted it was fast, but only wehn you can keep it running

if it is going to have a 3.8l engine with 260hp and tq it already is competing with their flagship evo. Its probably going to be just as expensive as the evo I bet.

It looks similar to the Z, has a similar engine and style and I bet it will have a similar price of around 25-30k.

Personally, I like it... for a chick maybe... but seriously the body style has really improved over the older models, to be honest I'm an oldschool 1st gen guy. I've seen some sick ones, but then again who hasn't right?

I do think that Mitsu needs to get back to putting Turbo 4's in the eclipse again. Even in the 3rd gen the 4g64 isnt great stock but responds to boost very well... The V6 cant say the same... Very cramped and only handle low boost on stock internals.

The biggest problem is that they keep making the Eclipse bigger and bigger..

i cant agree with you more man!!! i love my eclipse and i soon hope to boost that badboy 4g64, which is supposedly a real gangsta engine if done right......not to mention torque is pretty damn good for a 4cyl
