Hay

I noticed that the Mid West is not reppin it like the rest so...who would be down for a meet. Depending on how many say yes ill post up details!!!

DETAILS!!!!!!

Im trying to get a local DJ to come out and do what he doez best, Im going to call the city hopefully this week to see if we could set up a little drift track for people who want to try it out. And lastly, im going around to a few places and seeing if they could donate stuff for a raffel

Would depend on work schedule, day/days etc... however if we can co-ordinate I am sure that I could swing by and get WildHare on the way up too..

What are the dates your thinking about? Also where in Chicago?

I was thinking MAYBE Solider Field in the city, but i want to get a local DJ, and have room to set up a drift course and, one of my buddies is a manager at a Discount Tire, so im trying to find out if they could donate some stuff for a raffle and get a few other places to do the same...It would be hard in the city to set up a drift course. I need to check out some more venues. That is the jist of what im trying to set up...Any ideas on a venue you guys think is good???

hmm not right off hand and I havent been up there in about 3 years but let me reach out to some of my business buddies and see if they know of anything or anyone I can talk too, no guarentees but never hurts to try.

Now the question is do I bring the VW since its bright yellow and fun to drive or the truck in case someone has an issue...lol

Sounds good, i just want this to be a good meet and semi-party cuz of the DJ:dancingco...the dub would be nice i have only seen the orange version.

You could always come to Nashville and ride up with me, again if the timing works out. Or if you wanted to take the SS then I will drive to AK..lol

If you do the second idea the drive to AR would be alot better than the drive to AK. You're probably closer to Chicago than I am. I'm sure if we did something we could figure it out.

But yeah I am probably about 100-150 miles closer to Chicago than you so its not too much different.

As far as "southern, IL" are you talking like Peoria / Springfield or further south than that like down by St. Louis etc....?? Either way the further south you come the closer you are to me so im happy!!

Well, I'm not going to have a car that's fun to drive, so there has to be something else to do as far as that goes.
I'd have to ask for dates off from work.
I'd have to ask my parents (technically they couldn't stop me cause I'm 18, but my car is still titled to them for insurance reasons).
And then I'd have to get the cash to drive up there.

I understand the bottom three, but it doesnt matter what car you have its more just a mischief meet and hang out, hopefully with raffel DJ and drift track

Well, can't believe I missed this thread before. Would definitely depend on the dates. I'm gonna be out at Hyperfest in late June, and in early June I have my Grandpa's 90th birthday party on the 6th.

I'm not exactly sure of the other months, usually we have a couple of of family reunions in the summer too(July & August I think).

And yes....and Hell YES I would definitely be cool with drivin on up there with you Crash! You bring your V-dub, I'll see if I can steal the Vue...maybe we could get a few more from Ohio or other states and arrange a cruise to Chicago?

I hope by November i am moved back down to Florida. I can't stand cold weather. When i was down in florida i loved it so hopefully i am back there. My friends tried to get me to move to KC but its just not my cup of tea. I am not a fan of KC but thats cool cause I'm not a fan of Topeka either LOL.

Yeah i have all those same connections I even have full use of a shop with all the tools Lifts and even a Dyno and paint booth. That is the hardest thing to leave LOL. That stuff is worth $$$$$ to have access too. But There just ain't anything here for me ya know. If there isn't a reason to stay then you might as well leave. But it sounds like you got a reason to stay for now anyways.

we should have the meet in st. louis, if it is i can get ALOT of badass cars to come, like 600hp supras, 500hp dsm, 500hp lexus is300, lotus elise, srt10 viper and viper truck, r32 skyline gtr ant alot of drift 240s etc. etc. and ill bring my 500hp rb26 240sx also.\

its just a thought but if its in chicago i dont think i would be able to get many people to come.

how close is everyone to Chicago Indoor Racing? I think that would be a really good place to meet. For those of you that don't know, CIR is in Buffalo Grove and there is one in Addison. I am closer to the BG one but I could make either.

St. Louis is not in the midwest.
If someone decides to have it in St. Louis, that would double my distance and I would not be able to go. Plus I have 2 cousins that live in Chicago that I could probably stay with....HUH?!? St. Louis is very much in the mid-west. St. Louis is the asshole of America. It's right in the middle of the whole country!
