Hey there gang,
I'm thinking about getting a Fairlady Z (350 Z). Nissan is offering a Nismo package that you can have installed with the purchase of your vehicle. Now, I can do this and try to haggle the price down on these parts, or I can hold out and buy the car without any upgrades. Check out the site and tell me what you think. www.Nissanmotors.com Click on the Nismo link at the bottom of the page.
Now that we have that out of the way, My next choice is the Infiniti G35. Enough said on that one right. I'm looking for serious input. After all thats what this site is all about when it comes to cars right?
If you don't think that the package for the 350z is worth it, than please let me know, and tell me why. If you don't think either of these cars are worth it, than tell me why. Give me a car that you think would be a better choice. Make sure it's under $40G's, $35G's if possible. Appreciate the input fam.

it depends on what you're looking for. If you want a fast car, which can be taken on the track, go with the 350. If you are looking for luxury, go with the G

Well this is going to be my street vehicle. But I heard that the G35 can be tuned to perfection.

the 350 and g are basiaclly the same car, with some differences. Most of the parts for the 350 fit on the G, so in actuallity, the 350 will give you better performance, it's lighter.

No doubt, so what do you think about the Nismo aftermarket parts.

imo the nismo package isnt worth it, just too expensive. you can get much better parts for cheaper in the after market.
go with the G it just looks so much bettert

That's what I thought, I was trying to see if I could get them at a lower price from the dealer, If I offer to give them $10g's in cash for the car.

Hopefully you mean a G35 coupe? Nothing wrong with the sedan, of course! Infiniti is a status symbol. Personally I like the slightly more subtle styling of the G35c, compared to the in-your-face 350Z. 10 grand down and they will do anything to make you happy.

get the Z, rebadge it as a fairlady Z to set it apart from the rest, and spend the money you would have spent on the nismo package and throw on the GReddy twin turbo package.

Yeah, I was talking about the G35 coupe. I was going to get the Mazda Rx 8, but that thing should had stayed in the lab. It's alright but it looks like it's not finish or something.

or get the G35 and re-badge it as a Skyline as it would be in japan and throw on the GReddy twin turbo kit. fast as hell and you still get the leather seats.

Dog, that's not helping me. You just suggested that I get both, and drop in a twin turbo.

But no seriously, I am considering the G35c. Only because you don't see many of these cars on the road, because ricers can't afford them. The fact that it's called a G35 dosen't mean anything. It really should be called the R-35, Skyline that is. Now tell me what you think of it.
Go with the 350 you have allot more after market support here in the US for it. The Infinity was brought here strictly as a sport luxury. Or wait till next year when the Infinity comes back as an AWD more HP and supposedly an option to get the Skyline engine here in the states.

Then I guess i'll be waiting. The 350 is alright, but their starting to become played.

Well since the engine is coming to the States, what about this so called version of the Skyline GTR? They said that this was suppose to be the R35. Did it make it pass the board at Nissan? If it is coming to the states, let me know if you have any information. I don't won't to waste my money on a 350z to only find out that this beast is coming to the states. As soon as I find the stats on this car, I'll post them for all to see.

These are other concepts for the so called Skyline R35.

damn that new skyline is ugly.... why? why nissan why?
If they would just release a left hand drive skyline R34 here in the states they would make plenty of money - I don't see why a complete redesign is necessary.. especially with such an awesome design to begin with!

I see atleast one or two 350z and G35s around here daily. I sat in the 350z and I didn't really like the feel of it. I didn't sit in the g35 so i'm not really sure. I hreally think theres much better cars out there for the price.Such as sti, Cobra, hell even srt 4 are sweet for that much money.
I also suggest the greddy Twin Turbo or the Stillen S/C, for the 350 if you end up picking that.
