Post a pic of your PS3 Theme or Wallpaper

Im just curious what people use as their theme/wallpaper. If you still use the original one that came with the PS3, then nevermind, lol. However, if you are rocking one that you can get from the PS Store, or something you found on the internet, post them up!

Im just curious what people use. I had the HOME theme up for a while, but got tired of it. Now Im looking for something new.

I think I found one for now, however like my computers, I like the change wallpapers a lot, depending on my mood.

Anyways, instead of just a wallpaper, I went with a theme I found online. Mmm, Stacy Keibler :)


It has 4 wallpapers apart of it, they cycle thru randomly, and also have a special set of icons that look pretty cool. I took pics of them, because i have no clue how to extract the wallpapers themselves.

Anyways, like I said, I change out wallpapers a lot. I put a bunch more in my pictures folder for whenever I feel like a new one. I REALLY wish there was a way you could set a theme that took all the pics in a designated picture folder and randomly put those up. I wanted to share my current picks I spent a few hours looking for. There are some really good ones in there.

All of these are 1920x1080, the same size as the wallpapers offered from the PS Store in HD quality. A couple might be mildly NWS, but no nudity.

Also, at the top of that list is a folder named "PS3 Themes", there are 3 themes in there (incliding Stacy's) that are for the PS3. The other 2 are NWS, because they are 2 playmates of the year. If you dont know how to install themes, let me know, its really easy.

Anyways this is my PS3 set up right now. I try to change it pretty often and it is long past due right now but I love this one and it goes so well.

Also I don't know why that picture looks curved because that's on a 720p flatscreen setup lol. Anyways I want to change the background again this weekend. I have two pics I am debating against but each one will get used so I'm not too worried about it.

I cant see the pic here at work (its all good, no worries, Ill see it when I get home), BUT my pics I posted are slightly curved too, and I have a 46" LCD HDTV. I think mine was because of the camera lens, I took it with my P&S.

You can do it 1 of 2 ways, you can either go to the PSN Store and get some for free, or search on the internet from your computer.

If you are going to look on the internet on your computer, do this handy little trick first.


- Go to the PSN Store on your PS3.
- Find any wallpaper, doesnt matter which, and it will give you 2 choices, either HDTV or SDTV.
- Choose whichever you have, and download it.
- Go back to your main screen and go to Photos
- Plug a USB thumbdrive into your PS3
- Go to the image your downloaded, hit triangle and copy it to your thumbdrive
- Unplug the thumbdrive from your PS3 and plug it into your computer.


You can now see what size wallpaper you will have to search for on the internet but checking the properties of the one you took from the PS3. Search online for the one your want, stick it back onto your thumbdrive, then take it to your PS3 and copy it onto there.

Once you found the pic you want, whether it be from the PSN Store or online somewhere, select the picture so its in full screen mode, hit "Triangle" on your controller, and then go right a few times till you see "Make Background" or something like that.

Then it will ask you to zoom it to fit the boundaries of the screen. Do that and then hit X. You should be good to go.

If you have a flash drive or old mp3 player(that's what I used) you can download whichever image you want from the web onto it, and connect it to your ps3. then go under images and copy the images from your flashdrive onto the ps3.

I know this is for themes and wallpapers but have any of you guys done anything to your actual PS3?

I put a decal on mine a few weeks ago and even though it sits on a shelf unnoticed I still love it. It fits because the decal is shiny like the PS3. Also the picture shows it as being bright red, but the decal is actually pretty dark and matches the black perfectly.

I was running the PSN+ theme that they gave us for free, but got bored with it quickly. So I caved and bought the Hong Kong cityscape dynamic theme. It was a toss up between that and the Killzone 3 clouds theme. I like the Hong Kong one, looks great. I wish there was a video somewhere of it though so I could show you.
