Honda unveiled the next generation NSX at the 2003 Tokyo Motor Show. At this point its dubbed the Honda HSC. While Honda hasn't made any aspect of this car official, it does appear to be the successor to the NSX. What we do know at this point is that it retains its inherited platform of a mid, transversly mounted engine coupled to a rear wheel drive. Honda claims that the power output of the HSC is at 300 bhp/223.8 kW. The current 2004 model NSX powers 290 bph. Consequently, I am lead to beleive that for the time being the HSC will be powered by the same naturally aspirated 24 valve Acura V-6. Aside from cosmetics, the only other new aspect to this car is a paddle operated manual gear box.

Don't know if this is a repost, and if it is then I apologize. This car is amazing, I came across it tonight. If you haven't seen it then i'm sure this was a treat for you. I'm impressed. 2005 is going to be a great year.

I like the front a lot. The sides and rear need some changes.

You don't like the sides? I thought they were sweet. But then again, I haven't been exposed to that many cars.

I doubt Honda would put that rear end into production. It just doesn't fit their style, IMO. I wish they'd put in an engine with more power, maybe 350hp, and an NSX with the SH-AWD might be cool.

Bout damn time they changed the NSX's body.

I agree that back end looks way too flamboyant for Hondas style - mainly the exhaust pipes down there look wierd...

What kind of manual paddle shifter gearbox are we talking about? I've driven the smg style, the maserati style, but I havent driven the ferrari style yet.

I like the front, like the interior other then the passenger dash, and I like the sides, window into the engine bay is a take from ferrari that I like also.

Overall - Id hit it

Dude we use Astroglide here... j/k. I heard that the NSX is being discontinued, and that the HSC or whatever it is going to be called is going to be a completely new model, not a redesign. Anyone else?

From what I have read they are going to be using a 340 to 360 hp engine, that also uses honda new engine management where at idle speeds, deceleration and cruising, it will only use 3 cylinders.
