well it all started off with a clogged up oil catch can....that pressurized the crankcase forcing all the pressure to exit out the only point which was weak enough to blowout, in this case the dipstick....i lost about two quarts of oil total, and as a result, severely damaged the engine (piston rings in #2 cylinder are cracked, a lil bit of rod knock, and valve seats in #2 are gone as well, so now i have serious blow-by and nothing but burning oil comes out of the exhaust. Tip of the day....if you see me on the road dont get behind me!....so anyways, the car is now down for the wintertime as i begin to organize stage 2 of my engine buildup....ill be doing full internals, sleeved block, valvetrain, cams, etc. etc.....hoping to make 450+ next season.

I don't think you would do that. Life's not all perfect. Whenever shit comes your way, you just need to deal with it and move on. That's what Dan's doing. Shit happened, but he's cleaning it up and fixing it.

Same, when I was in HS, a kid had a real nice 72 chevy pickup. he restored it all himself, the last thing he did was get a helluva nice paint job on it. The sad thing is, he was kind of a loner, and some of the "cool" kids decided to key his ride. Thats just sucks, if you knew what he had put in it. So, the next week he came back in a primered black truck. Aight, I'll shut up now, just sharing an experience.
