DUSTIN WORLES
12-11-2007, 08:04 PM
Perdue and I flew to Orlando, FL to check out the Performance Racing Industry (PRI) show. It's like Sema but way smaller and only for performance parts. No rims or body kits at this show. We left snow covered VA and landed in warm Orlando on Thursday morning. We were planning on renting a midsize car but for an extra $15/day we picked up a new Chrysler Sebring convertible. This car is the biggest piece of shit that I have ever rented. I found out that we had the 4 cylinder model after I tried and failed to do a burnout leaving the rental lot. Oh well, at least it was 65 degrees and the top was down. We got onto the freeway and come to find out that the front speakers were blown. The car has 9K on it. We head towards the convention center.
Doesn't feel like Christmas when it's 70 degrees and sunny

The new Sebring is such a fat pig. Look at it compared to the old one.

We get to the show and met up with Peter from ISP Racing and his wife that we call G. Wow, this show is really redneck! Nothing like Sema. We were like the only Asians at the whole entire show. There were no crazy custom cars like Sema so I didn't bother taking pictures. After the show, we drove the rental to a restaurant to grab some dinner. A couple times, the car stalled out. It's an automatic! We decided to take the POS back and ended up getting a free upgrade - Chrysler 300. The rest of the night we took it easy and retired early.
On Friday we attend the PRI show again but only for an hour. We meet up with Ed from Driven Clothing (NYSEguy) for lunch in the Winter Park area. Ed says his friend Dave from Prescott Automotive Group has a '94 Camry that we could destroy :). But before the destruction, we meet up with another old friend Ricky to check out this new ride.

We end up dropping a Porsche engine from a second floor balcony onto the roof of the Camry but you'll have to wait to see the video. Also, we were planning on blowing the Camry up but we caught these nosey farmers with a video camera hiding around the side of this building behind the shop taping us. We decided to call it quits.
In 48 hours, Perdue and I were back at home in the freezing cold :bigcry:
