Ok, seriously, 4 letter words are too short for the search??? How the hell am I going to search for something if its going to be that picky? 3 and 4 letter words should be allowed, because titles to threads here are short and to the point, so should the search perameters looking for them.

the search indexes every word.

3 letter words: the are not can see top etc...

4 letter words: with care feel bare tear etc...

really common words.. makes for a huge friggin index. almost any webforum you goto will at least turn off 3 letter word searches, if not 4 as well. Just make your searches more precise!!

Well thats the thing, I was making a thread talking about the new Need For Speed game (Need for Speed Pro Street), and 90% of that title was dropped because its "too common", so "Speed" and "Street" isn't really narrowing it down on an automotived forum. I just hate making reposts, but its hard if I can't look it up first.

Well, I can see the need for a 4 letter search. I'll look at changing it later ;)

You should be able to search 3 letter words now.. of course, it will have to index some first!

As for the 'common word' filter... Dunno..

Thanks, I just thought it would make things easier for everyone, not just me, not to mention it might reduce the number of reposted threads.

Thanks leiter! I wanted to search my thread 'rad' a while ago, and I couldnt. The word 'rad' isnt excluded, but the threads aren't found, but I know thats because it has to index them first.

Awesome. Thanks!
