If you have a car on autotrader, you'll get emails about a guy in africa representing a client in the UK and he wants to send you a Cashier's check for $5000 over the cost of the car to pay for shipping and we wants you to send the remainder to him.. basically, you end up sending him money, and pay for the car to be shipped to the UK and you don't get anything out of it because the check was only good for... eh.. nothing, so by the time the check bounces, you're stuck with your cock in your hand and having sent money over seas. So.. I tell these people to go ahead and send the chashier's check and I'll wait for it to clear. You know what? they never do..

I used to get those email a couple time a week, its rediculous and they are so obvious. Plus none of them can spell or construct a proper sentence... I was selling my used mountain bike for around $3,000 and they would offer me $8,000 trusting that I would send them the extra $5,000 back. Right...

Some bitch actually fell for this scam not long ago, she was selling her car and had someone from across the pond enquire. It was the same thing and she went through with it, payed $13,000 to ship her car thinking she was going to be reimburst from her cashier sheck for some huge sum of cash. Well she sure didn't, so she was out a car and 13G!

What's sad is that some people would've actually gone for what she was saying. The way you handled the situation was smooth, and I like the whole "contact me using AT&T Internet relay because the numbers are almost so impossible to be trace". That right there got her. That's what made her nervous. Hell, if someone on the recieving end of your scam can see through your operation and tell you step by step about what you did, then maybe it's time to look for another scam. Since she probably thought that you were the real thing, i'm sure she's scared as hell right now.

Way to handle yourself.
