Deepak and I have put in our deposit to participate in the Joy Ride Rally taking place April 21st to April 27th. Starts in Santa Monica and ends in New Orleans. Since this is a last minute rally for us, we are taking the same Carrera 4 that we took on the Gumball. This will be the forth rally this car's been on and all the stickers from the previous rallies are still on the car. It hasn't been washed in a year, lol!
Our moderator Canadian Brian will be on the rally as well with our buddy John from WA. John is trying to buy a Murci for this rally.
We will be shooting this rally in HD and we will be able to use it in an upcoming movie. Here is more info about the rally:
Schedule
Pre-Start – Thursday - optional
Begin check-in for early arrivals, a meet and greet in the late afternoon, followed by an informal dinner. We’ll also be getting cars dressed / wrapped along with any of you who want the clear bra discount.
Day 1 – Friday - optional
We’ll continue car dressing / wrapping all day and distribute gas cards. In the mid afternoon we’ll meet and greet again. Dinner will be on the pier, overlooking the cars, Southern California style. After dinner (mild) VIP party at 3rd Street Promenade. Southern California enthusiasts with an ‘exotic’, are invited to join us for this evenings events.
Day 2 – Saturday!!! April 21st
Here we go; 8am drivers meeting and rev-ed up breakfast at Bubba Gump. 9:30am join the Santa Monica Pier festivities. Hundreds of spectators, booths and participants join in the fun; Media coverage, photo shoots and the largest exotic car party to leave the west coast. 10am leave the pier by Santa Monica police escort, parade though town, then onto the Santa Monica Freeway. Scottsdale AZ, here we come! with a stop in Palm Desert for lunch, snacks, and gas. Pull into Hotel Valley Ho and park cars in interior court yard, and ballroom. Socialize at cocktail party around cars as drivers pull in, followed by elegant dinner, then after party, Scottsdale style, at Martini Ranch (very cool club).
Day 3 – Sunday
1st Race Track Day! Breakfast at hotel. Lunch provided at the race track. Relaxing afternoon and poolside spa treatment back at Hotel Valley Ho, perfect for recovery.
Day 4 – Monday
We’re off to New Mexico after breakfast, and stop in Las Cruses. Planned events to be disclosed to entrants only. Old fashioned Bar-b-Que dinner around cars at sunset, under the stars, New Mexico style. VIP party to follow.
Day 5 – Tuesday
Our longest and fastest driving day. We’re off to San Antonio Texas by way of the fastest interstate in the U.S.A. with 80 mph signs J. Relax on arrival with elegant dinner, followed by VIP party at the famous Texas ‘River walk’.
Day 6 – Wednesday
Today we take a swing down by Mexico. For those who want to, we’ll take a walk across the boarder for some fun and lunch. Of course the cars will be guarded by our on board security. From there it’s on to South Padre Island to crash all spring break parties.
Day 7 – Thursday
2nd Race Track Day! It’s off to Houston for meet and greet with everyone from Lamborghini Texas. Then it’s off to the track. Poolside spa treatment back at Hotel, second opportunity for recovery! Followed by elegant dinner and VIP party Texas style.
Day 8 – Friday April 27th
We pull into New Orleans! Official lineup for parade through town and Bourbon Street. We’ll have a first hand look at where our donation money is going. Arrival lunch party and relaxing afternoon. Official awards ceremony, gifts, presentations, and the ‘07 Joy Ride Rally winner’s prizes’ will be awarded. Party all weekend at the Jazz fest with new friends!
Day 9 – Saturday on - optional
For those that stay, we’ll book hotels, dinner and events as requested. Ongoing party with new friends!
To book your spot, please call me to confirm, then send a $2,000 deposit to Joy Ride Rally, LLC, 19911 Hawthorne blvd, Torrance CA 90503. This will guarantee your place on the run, book your hotel rooms, book your race track time, and cover the fixed costs of renting Santa Monica Pier, send off party, insurance, New Orleans arrival party, etcetera.
The hotel rooms in Santa Monica (optional), Phoenix and New Orleans are in high demand and require payment in the next week or so. These hotels are holding our rooms, but approaching overbooking. We want to assure that you have an opportunity to stay with Joy Ride Rally at our primary Hotel in these locations, so if you are planning to come, please book your spot asap!
