I'm interested in meeting up with all of you guys... I'm not setting anything in concrete here, but how many of you in the Bi-state area (OK and AR) would be interested in having a big meet? Hell, even others, if they want to drive that far. I'd like to set up a date and location whenever I can figure out who all wants to do this. Let me know, you guys!

w3Rd.

Are you thinking this year or early next year? Next year would probably be better...that way there would be more time to plan and get people together.

Just let me know!

Karen

Sometime next year... Maybe next Spring. Not soon at all, we need to figure out some sort of central location to do this at.

And I have no clue what we could do. Any suggestions?

I'm just fishing to see if anyone's interested in having a meet lol

We could meet at a show, or have a "track day", or do a Route 66 cruise...I'm sure we can think of things to do!!!

A cruise sounds awesome! But only if I can drive the Miata, Karen. :P

My Civic would be fucking dwarfed by you guys' cars.

Does Mickey ever get on here? Does he live in OKC too?

Nothing says "cruising" like a top-down Miata! Mickey, unfortunately, is still computerless...but I keep him informed!!

So does that mean I get to drive it?! :P

Just kidding. Let him know and let us know. If you know how to let him know.

Wait. I know that should have made sense.

Well...if you guys are seriously considering a track day then we can either plan to meet on a regular high speed touring weekend, or we can rent the track out privately during the week. However, we would need 20 confirmed drivers to make a private event.

Anyway...just thinking ahead here...

That's a good idea. Not just because I live here, but Hallet raceway is a Great road course to turn some laps on. The entrance fee is 75$ if you run, and I think the track is like 1500$ to rent out for a day. So if you got enough people entering, you could rent it out on a weekend.
What about a teck weekend? maybe a roadcourse one day, then hop over to the 1/4 mile track the next day?

or is that too much? lol

Nope...that would be do-able. Probably head over to Tulsa's drag and check it out. Perhaps their road course will be ready by the time we are ready for a meet??!!!??

Hallett normally has events on the weekend and if they do have a free weekend available it is more expensive to rent the track! That's why I said we could jump in with the High Speed Touring group on a weekend. But hey, I'm willing to do whatever it takes!! :wow:

That'd be cool... I'd have to take the Civic on the track just for the hell of it :D

Karen, how is the P5 coming? Any new developments?

Definitely...you might be surprised how well you do!

P5 updates: new windows in, alarm installed (woot), passenger seat dropped off at leather specialists, waiting on insurance check (check made out incorrectly) then I can drop off the car for the body work...man this sucks :icon_frow The new stereo is supposed to ship to my work because I don't trust it being left on the porch. Slowly but surely we'll have her back together.

This is just a random question, but... What did the ZX351 dyno at?

I'm curious like a cat... That's why my friends used to call me "Whiskers"

Top Secret...if I told you, then I'd have to kill you!

Actually the dyno #s are not really where they need to be at this point. There are still some kinks that the Mr. has not yet gotten worked out. Right now Project ZX351 is on hold until the Nanner gets back in one piece. He did run it at the track just the way it is right now (1 front brake and all!) and got a best of 12.7. We're looking for 11s on motor and 10s on the happy gas :bang2:
