2006 REWIND

Another crazy year has gone by. I want to thank you guys and gals again for your continued support of Teckademics and the Mischief series. The Mischief series is still the best selling automotive DVD series in the US. We finally made the switch to HD cameras this past summer.

TeckEast will be 3 years old on January 1st. We are working on a completely new site with an extensive Mischief video library containing tons of clips that we left out of the Mischief DVD series. We will also have a real online store and a new and improve apparel line that relates more to the Mischief series.

The Mischief crew will be covering more events this year including 2 rallies. Our 2007 schedule will be posted soon. We start planning our Mischief Assault release party in DC after the holidays. Feb. 28th is the official release date for Assault.

Also, in 2007 Dado will finally start the drift season right with the return of his infamous M3. His race team Chaos Performance Racing will be touring the US in Dado's flat-black rig.

2007 is going to be another crazy year but 2006 is going to be tough to beat! Here's what went down in the '06:


JANUARY
1. We can't the start the year without attending the North American International Auto Show in Detroit.

Highlights of the show:

- Kenny from Adrenalin Crew gets into a verbal fight with a news guy from CBS. For some reason a knife is mentioned. It's settled when Kenny gives the CBS guy a signed copy of his newest DVD.

- I get wasted and pass out in the cigar bar at the Daimler-Chrysler party

- We play X-box 360 at the Nissan party while the Vice President of Nissan watches us. I can't finish one game because I was too drunk.

2. TrboPowr asks me to change his name on TE. Vader then changes my name to Cocktastic. I go to war with the whole forum and end up changing almost 200 member names over a 24 hour period. Takes me 2 days to change everyones name back. TDC's name was protected. Dammit! Some people can't take a joke and get upset, lol! Check out these names:

FEBRUARY
I missed the "Cars for the Cure" event in Orlando but make it to the Philly Auto Show. We share a booth with MillaRacing.

MARCH
Nick Hogan begins wearing Teck Gear on "Hogan Knows Best". Finally get great publicity for our apparel line but no one can buy it.

APRIL
I do the Gumball 3000 "8 Days Around the World" rally with my buddy Deepak. Shot over 30 hours in HD. Gumball won't give me the rights to use their footage to make a DVD. Going to make a movie anyways (not for profit) and maybe rent out a movie theater for a free showing...

MAY
The Ballerz Run Rally gets cancelled. We plan a Nurburgring Trip but that gets axed as well.


JUNE
1. We go to Ocean Maryland for the OC Car and Truck show

2. Teck and Milla Racing held a car meet at the King of Prussia Mall in PA for the premiere of Tokyo Drive movie. Turn out was great and everyone was on their best behavior in the mall parking lot. After the movie ended, we were told that we were banned from using the mall parking lot for future events. Everyone leaves and tears up the lot.

The following day, we organized a private drive north of Philly. Got to check out a huge private car collection. Also organized some exotic drag racing. The Ford GT lost it's power-steering after doing a bunch of donuts. Surprisingly no tickets were issued.

3. Brian and Rachel go on the Players Run. Rachel ditches her Lotus in Vegas and rents a faster car - a 360 Spyder. Transmission didn't hold up too well.

Reza also goes on the PR too. He brings along a Rolls Royce with his face plastered on every side of the car. It doesn't take long before everyone vandalizes his face, lol! Reza is a good sport about it.

4. After 2 years, Dado gets his M3 back.

5. The US Drift event in CA is cancelled. It would've been Dado's first drift event in CA.


JULY
We gear up to drive to the Auto Expo in Canada and cancel last minute to see Dado drift his M3 for the first time in 2 years. On the third warm up lap, the turbo goes, the M3 loses power, and Dado hits a wall head-on at 40 mph. After hours and hours of work, the M3 cant' be fixed in time to qualify. We still have fun at the event and we completely took over the show area.

AUGUST
1. We participated in our first exotic car drive (Summer's Exotic Run) in the NY tri-state area. Very impressed with the amount of modified high-end cars.

2. We attend our first carshow in SC. Funk Master Flex.

SEPTEMBER
1. Driven Clothes and Teckademics share a booth at Formula D in NJ. Dado convinces his father to put him on the family insurance and allow him to drive his new M5 to NJ with us. The M5 breaks down after going through a carwash. Wasn't Dado's fault this time, lol!


2. We go on the Super Street tour down to the Nopi Nationals in Atlanta. Rachel decides that she wants to go in her Elise. She drives from Chicago to Toronto and then down to NJ for the start of the SS tour. She swings by MD to pick me up and we go down to the hotel stop in NC. The next day, we meet up with the rest of the Teck crew. Perdue loses AWD in his silver R32 Skyline but it still makes it down to Nopi.

3. Dado decides to buy a Peterbuilt with 1,300,000 miles on it. Finds one in Kansas. Dado downloads instructions on how to drive a 13 speed and flies to Kansas with Marks. They make it back without any problems. Dado uses 20 cans of flat black spray paint to give the Peterbuild a "Mad Max" look.

4. I finish editing together "Mischief Assault". Yeehaw!!!

OCTOBER
1. Marks throws an Assault preview party for us at K Street Lounge in DC. The DVD player breaks and we end up only seeing 1/3 of the movie.

NOVEMBER
1. The Teck Crew goes to Las Vegas for Sema.

2. I only stay in Vegas for 36 hours and then fly out to New Orleans for a Ferrari event.

3. Rachel enters the La Carrera Panamericana race in Mexico in her Elise. She places 8th out of 103 race cars. 15 cars crash and her car gets battered but finishes in one piece!

5. ThE EC invites me to come out to CT to film the Ferrari P4/5. The sickest car that I have ever shot!

DECEMBER
1. Dado drifts in West Palm, Florida

3. Rachel buys a white Lotus Exige S straight out of the LA autoshow. She's still keeping the Elise.

4. On Christmas Eve, we do a last minute cruise. It only takes us 10 minutes to get chased by the police in Md. We cancel the rest of the drive.

Can't wait to see what '07 has for you. I'm glad that my friends and I finally got to meet you at the Nopi Nationals and we're already looking forward to the next event we attend. Good times this year! I'm glad that I was able to see Dustin and meet Dado, and then meet so many more of the people on here. This year was great, next year will be even better! And of course, you guys go to the OC show, NOPI MIR, and Nationals, and I'm deployed for it all, lol.

Dustin, there is one reason why Teckademics is bigger than anything else in the tuner world, and thats because you did it with the fans, for the fans. You guys did what every other street racing dvd didn't do, and thats focus on the fans, what they wanted to see, and actually include them in what you do. You guys didn't keep yourselves separate, you gave Teckademics to the fans, asked them what they wanted to see, and then went out and did it with them. No one else did that, and thats why they have failed.

Teckademics is bigger then ever, and you guys about to launch your 6th dvd in the Mischief series, you gotta be doing something right :)

And oh, release party for Assault???

Good year, don't know what 2007 has in store but I'm sure it'll be just as nuts. Thanks for all the good times! :) Now let us kick off 2007 this weekend and get ready to do it all again. Release party planning is in progress, I'll keep everyone posted as things are finalized. Every year we say the next one will be bigger and better, and I have to say they are. Glad to be a part of it all. And thanks to all the guys and the fans, if I was asked to go back and change anything, I sure as hell wouldn't. Well maybe never loose my license but hell, still good times.
