It's a 1995 325is, black interior. That's an old picture. Haven't had time to take any decent shots since I picked up officially this past Thursday. But it pretty much looks the same.

I bought it off one of my best friends so I know its history since the day he brought it home from Florida back in 1997.

It also came with quite a few goodies on it. :D

H&R Cupkit
17" staggered Motorsports
HID kit
Dinan chip
Rogue DMS
Custom Rogue SSK
AC Schnitzer pedals w/dead pedal
Rear clears
Cross-drilled rotors in the rear
ECIS Intake
X-brace
Rogue e-brake handle

Most likely going to throw an M-technik kit on it once I have the loot. Then perhaps some new wheels and keep the Motorsports as a winter set. Other than that it's a damn nice car as it is.

It's nice to be back behind the wheel of a proper vehicle. :D

may be a dumb question, but what is a dead pedal?

looks really nice, only thing i would change is to paint the lips, but if your getting the kit then just leave them for time be.

nice car, hope you have fun it it.

may be a dumb question, but what is a dead pedal?

It's the left most pedal, where you rest your foot.

By the way, nice car man. How much is that lowered? And what was your previous car?

Ryan
11-14-2004, 11:16 PM
The H&R cupkit lowers the car 2.1" / 1.5" Front/Rear
His previous car was a white 330ci. It is the very left car in this picture--

Tonk
11-14-2004, 11:57 PM
Yeah, why did you go to an older car?

tdc
11-15-2004, 11:37 AM
Paying more in insurance every month than I was for the actual car wasn't my cup of tea. So I just gave the car back in March.

Older car = less insurance

:werd:

I only pay $94/mo for insurance, but I could do without the $500+ car payment :money: But I guess it's the price I pay for wanting an overpriced, impractical, unreliable, poorly made....hmmm wait....this isn't working my favor yet.....

I pay $240/mo for insurance on a 9-year old, unreliable, poorly made car with 128,000 miles. Oh the joy of being 20 with 2 speeding tickets and an accident on my record.

No one should complain about the amount they are paying for insurance.

I used to pay $685/mo.

My car payment was $632/mo.

$1300 for a car every month?

No thanks.

But you also need to take into consideration your age and your job. I don't know you, I don't know how old you are, and I don't know what you make. But I'm only 20, and I am only making $10/hour on a co-op and also have to pay for college, books, apartment, etc. So $240 a month for insurance is a lot to me, especially because my car is only worth $500.

tdc
11-15-2004, 06:55 PM
I'm a professional bum. I'm older than you (and most everyone else on this forum).

Everything is relative. That is quite a bit of money to be shelling out for a college kid every month.

But even if I were making $10 million a year paying $685/mo for car insurance would still be ridiculous. But then again, I have a friend that pays $750/mo. So everything is relative.

I'm just happy to be back in a BMW again. :)

its not just your car clown. What if you get hurt. Who's gonna pay your medical bill? What if you hurt others? You're gonna get so fucked far up your ass you're gonna wish you paid $100 a month instead. Not counting if u get a ticket for driving w/o insurance. It's like $600+

Nice car TDC. My insurance is $120 a month but my parents normally take care of it. As long as I save $80 a month into my college account they pay it. They baby me too much but I'm not complaining :)

My Mom's 2000 Z3 was totaled by an old woman who passed out at the wheel and hit my mom head on. My mom had $7,700 in hospital fees and lawyer fees, even though she only had a couple bruises, it was standard procedure. She wasn't trying to make a profit, she just wanted the woman to pay for it because it was her fault. Turns out the woman didn't have insurance. When she refused to pay for my mom's damages, my mom sued her for $25,000 and for the cost of the car, and she won. OUCH!

I really love black E36s, but I promised myself I wouldn't buy a black car again.

The first thing after the M-Technic kit that I would do is powdercoated black rims with a polished lip. What do you say to that?

tdc
11-22-2004, 11:23 PM
Like these?

I just noticed that your pic was hosted off your website. Are you planning on eventually getting a stock M3 wing?

tdc
11-23-2004, 01:16 AM
Nope. No wings for me.

I like the way it looks without one.

Ryan
11-23-2004, 01:18 AM
How about one of those little trunk lid lips?

tdc
11-23-2004, 01:24 AM
None of them fit properly. The E46 one is too long and the E39 one is too short. Or vice versa.

Ryan
11-23-2004, 01:26 AM
Downforce is no friend of yours.

Who knows. One day I might get the itch to put a wing on my car but right now it's not in the plans.

That is a knockoff of the E46 M3 lip spoiler we were referencing earlier.

I don't rock knockoffs.

And like I said earlier, it doesn't fit properly on an E36 trunk.

I would definitely rock knockoff rims in the winter time. That way I really wouldn't care a rat's ass about them. :)

Knockoffs are good temporary items that you know will get thrashed before you even care.

I have knockoff ACS pedals. I just can't stomach the $500 price on those.

tdc
