forget ps3 for now, its way out of my price range... when you get down to it which will be better?

Im not into these fighting games mainly racing, and grand theft auto series... and i loved zelda and mario etc etc from the n64 just that controller on the wii looks too complicated...

as for dvd player i know its lacking on the wii but i have one in my room already.

also which one would be mod friendly to add games without actually buying them (i know the wii has a sd card slot which is very easy to work with)

I dont think wii will have GTA or sonic, consoles have specific games that no-other consoles put out...it def matters what console you have and what games you like to play

Im not much of a hardcore player, but i have been reading how the wiis graphics are nothing special, but their games are awesome compared to the 360! (zelda, mario and u can download older games from n64 snes and even genesis!) this is just a weird situation lol, if price was the difference it would be easier but i found them both for $300 on craigslist (selling my ps2 for $100 so its really only costing me about $200)

I would get ps3 but it just doesnt make sense to pay double the price, you know? even when after xmas it will still be $500 for the 20gb!

Nintendo has been talking with the GTA publisher on creating a Wii version, they're done with the 'kiddie' image. The controller is actually EASIER to use btw ;) Just get some good rechargable batteries

Dude, 360s are plentiful.. they're EVERYWHERE.. there's no problems getting ahold of one. The games are THE SAME as they are on XBOX, just prettier.. I'd say just get the Wii now and enjoy it and then get a 360 once a few more bad ass (read: halo 3) games come out

the 360 is also easier to mod, it can play backup games and such and also has a whole multimedia center, i would never use it but it sounds fun. i got offered a 360 premium for 300 ill take it if i dont like it ill buy a wii with this guy selling @250

The Wii is cool, the controller definitely adds a new dimension to it. but it can get old and ony serves a purpose for some games. other games it just seems stupid. go for the 360. i think overall you'll be much happier. my brother has both a wii and a 360 and the wii doesnt get much use

They say that the xbox 360 doesn't support 1080p but in reality there would be literally no reason to create an HDMI port unless it was going to be used to support ful HD. (meaning 1080p) Not to include it comes with a 120Gb hard drive as opposed to the 20Gb hard drive for the pro package Xbox 360.

There's not 16 games.. they had the largest launch line up of any system ever. There's dozens and dozens of games available, it plays all gamecube games, and all the downloadables... REGARDLESS, the 360 is deffinately NOT a good buy at the base price, it's the more expensive one (the Elite) that's the better buy. But I'll still wait until there are games that I want on the system, that I can't get somewhere else. (Why pay for a system for a game that I can get on a system that I already have?) The Wii still gets about 90% of my gaming time. I just picked up Super Paper Mario, and am planning on getting a few more games this month and next. THe 360 Elite comes out soon, and I'll pick it up for GTA IV and Forza II

Wow, I can't believe I am the only person saying this. I would have kept the PS2 until you had enough for a PS3. Then when you bought your HD TV you would have been set...blu-ray is fantastic in 1080p, GT HD is phenomenal in 1080p as well. 360 will not offer any 1080p games for a LONG time.

In addition to that, Playstation Home is going to be quite possible the next myspace when it comes out. Not to mention that the PS3 is backwards compatible with every PSone and PS2 game(well 99 percent anyways).

I am very happy with my PS3, it was expensive, but not having a PS2 or anything was killin me.

As for your poll, I would have chosen Wii, but looks like you bought the 360. Oh well I tried.

I'm on both sides of the Boat here i LOVE my 360 cause of the new grand theft auto comin out and halo and gears of war not to mention i'm not gonna leave my house for MANY MANY MANY MANY days when Halo 3 comes out in september.

BUT playing the WII i've thoroughly enjoy it also. The Wii Sports games are fun with Bowling, Tennis and Golf and Zelda wasn't too shabby either.

Wii60 FTW.. We hooked up damen's 360 to my 120"+ screen and I was 100% sold. I'll keep the Wii for all the amazing games they have coming out for it, and the 360 will be for the racers, GTA IV, Halo 3 and movies :D can't wait.

yeah dude, it's a blast. My wife wasn't interested in it at first because she hated it for the GCN, but then Damen brought it over and we played it a bunch. good times. I'm really looking forward to Manhunt though.. omg that looks brutal.
