We still don't have an official Teck store yet. As soon as Rachel gets back from racing in Mexico, we will be revamping the whole site. I know some people hate Ebay. What other pay methods do you guys suggest until we get the new store up?
I'm hoping the new site and store will be up before Feb.

just make a temp site to where ppl can view the product and look at the trailor, and have a link that says click here to buy and use like a secure website that allows you to keep personal transfer records to all ppl who buy from you.

I like paypal personally, but not so much ebay. check, or credit card its all good.
Are you making an actual online store or just a newer ebay teck store?
PayPal works well if you're not willing to go all out with your own SSL and Payment Gateway/CC Processor.

paypal is by far the best i would have to say...If you could accept credit cards/debt cards also that would be pretty cool...There is also e-gold but unless you have a ton of visitors who have e-gold its prob not even worth the hassle..

Credit card/debit card is great for me. I think I've seen a couple threads with younger kids looking to buy the vids or stickers in which case you might want to be setup to take money-orders.

Get a merchant account so you can save yourself a ton! Paypal gets close to 3% of YOUR money...

Have you guys considered setting up dealer accounts. Lateyl I've been thinking about starting a detail shop here locally and I would like to sell things out of the shop as well. Nothing set in stone yet. I still have alot to think about. But if I did something like that I would love to have a bunch of Teckademics and Driven merchandise.

Two ideas for you...
1. Setup a simple store using OSCommerce and use paypal to handle all your transaction processing. A basic store can be thrown together in a few hours. I am willing to help if you are interested.
2. Setup an affiliate program to sell more stuff and reach more people. You could have sites similar to myself sell your product where all purchases would still go through you but they would get a small percentage of the sale.

As far as payment options go, I don't mind using Paypal when it's my only option. Although I MUCH prefer a simple credit/debit card purchase.

+1 on credit/debit, much simpler and seems more secure than paypal, although paypal isn't TOO much of a hassle.

dont you have to give paypal a percentage when you collect payments through them? If you can do CC or debit cards i feel you would be better off..
edit: paypal option would be good though for the people who dont have credit cards.

Just get a merchant account and take credit card info over the phone or over the net. I have gotten along fine online without PayPal. I can't stand it. You can get ripped off too easily, people want the buyer to pay for THIER PayPal fees (up charge you the 3% they take even if it is against thier user agreement). I don't use Ebay for this reason as well. I prefer cash transactions or money order but as long as you have a secure server to take my debit card over the net, I am down.
