Anyone here follow any of the classic games like Sierra, Westwood, Lucasarts, Interplay, Virgin, etc?

I'm talking mostly the point and click adventures such as Kings Quest 6, Kyrandia, and the newer additions by other companies such as the Longest Journey, Syberia, Keepsake, Runaway?

Since I was 10, I've been a big player, and over the past 3 years, an avid collector of the specific genre. Some of the classics, such as Loom or Zak McKracken, or Sierra's Gold Rush or Camelot, are worth up to $400 a piece in Box with all the manuals, disks, 100% contents.

Anyway, I figured if anyone is into the classics, then you'll find my collection interesting.

Currently, I've had it appraised at over $4600 in collectables.

and of course, I'm an avid Quake 3 Fan. In 2000, I put together "Quake: The Movie - Escape from the Bastille. Both of these are the posters from the film I released at Quakecon 2001.

Nice collection.

I'm not a huge fan of point and click but I have played Broken Sword on PS1.

I am a collector myself, my collection spans all the way back to the brown box. If you laid all my collection out on the floor, games, systems, and such it would take up nearly two floors of my house. Naturally, a lot that I dont play is in storage. I am also a video game historian, as odd as that sounds.

nice collection you got there...I dont know how the hell you keep them on those shelves though...In my house they wouldnt last longer then 10 mins, the bass from my stereo would be shaking them off the shelves...Ill be sitting at my desk listening to some music and all of a sudden die cast cars will start falling from the skies...Ive had them land on my monitor, my head, knock cups and what not over, it can be dangerous sometimes lol..Not to mention that i have screwdrivers and stuff like that up there also, so every once in awhile youll get a stray pair of scissors coming at you or something..

LMAO! I have that happen too! Nothing is safe, even pics on the walls come down once in a while.

nice collection indeed. I have all the King's Quest games, but I couldn't find em now if I tried and who knows where the boxes and stuff are. Those are the only point-click games I've ever really played, they were good though. Actually, I have a ton of first person point-click games but I never really played any of them and they're all bargain bin games. King's Quest are the only 'classics' I have. King's Quest 8 was also a very good RPG, 3d though.

I'm not a collector, but I do have a 100% brand new in the box, still shrink-wrapped copy of Chrono Trigger (very popular classic SNES RPG). There is a very small crease in the box but otehr than that it's perfect. I'll never sell it though, one of my favorite games of all time, not to mention one of Squaresofts masterpieces from the SNES days.
