I would also go with Sony. They have a lot of features, but are simple to use. They are very user friendly and are dependable. I have a Sony Cyber-Shot DSC-P73 4.1-megapixel that works great for a very reasonable price.

i can seem to ifind mine online.. i have a cybershot and MINI DV video cam. for pics, the cybershot is much better and reliable to capture the images. for vid viceversa. Since both of mine can do both of filming and pics. Ill post the actual info on them if you want. All the pics of my galant you've seen on TGC have been with the Cybershot.

I have a Powershot and I think it's pretty cool! Pictures are nice and shooting video is just as easy as snapping a picture...even for me! :) Though I have the SD100 and I'm not sure what the differences are between that and the one you are looking at!

And you have to remember, you get what you pay for. It's best to spend the money and get a really good one the first time around. I spent $300 on my camera, and another couple hundred on accessories (batteries, memory card, etc.) and it's worth the money I spent. It's not the best camera out there, but it's good for what I need it for.
