SoLow, I hosted a rally last May we drove for 80 miles of prety good roads, high speed and tight corners. I have also been working on a rally from Syracuse to Saratoga.

I'm hosting this years Saab meet in May during the Watkins Glenn $15 for 3 laps event opener, and was planning on inviting CNY FastDubs. We could roll Teck into that as well.

Lemme know if you want any ideas or help with logistics or whatever.

My bf was going to try to organize a balls out race from here to syracuse..and I want to plan a meet here for the spring hopefully you know hamburgers hotdogs and such..its like 50 miles from here to syracuse but its all highway which would make it a top speed run for whoever has the balls to leave the pedal down the whole way..yeah and if theres any shows around this area and if models are ever needed I am always down cause I gotta get out there and do that networking thing..and get experience..you know

i posted a while ago bout gettin a meet together at one of the beaches since its gonna be dead out there this time of season being that its gettin cold out.. but i didnt get very many replies.... except for dave and a few srt4's... If we can do it.. lets DO IT.. im sure i can get a bunch of people, i know a few of the top car/bike ppl on LI... i could probably get East Coast Xtreme to ride out for the day..

can we make it the weekend after the 14th? b/c i'm attending an srt ny/nj oc tour of nyc. if we make for the week after the 14th i can definitely bring some srt's. that will be more than willing to pull some runs with you guys if you are down for some runs.

i dont know exactly what beach would be less of a threat with law enforcement. i remember this past Tobay Fest was while it was cold and the whole way over the bridges and in the area there were no troopers. right outside tobay beach there were alot of troopers though cause it was a widly known event. however i think we shouldn't have a prob with this cause its no way near as big. we shoudl be ok. i found out i have work the 14th but im gonna try n get off and if not i have to be there by 6..
Here's an idea. we'll hold it on the 14th. if it rains then the rain date will be the following sunday so this way supachin n his srt's can make it.. sound good?

Speaking of rally, this just came to my mind. lets say someone were to organize a mini-rally starting at lets say Rockaway beach or something like that and drive all around the shore of long island.

A rally around LI, I've never heard of that in my life! :D Not to sound like a baby but I'm not driving my car through some of those neighborhoods on that rally :rofl: Plus that's going to be one HELLLLLLLLL of a gas guzzler, and take about 6 hours without traffic and a whole day with it, lol...it's going to me more stressful than pleasureable, lol. Going to have to put the kybash on that idea :)

So this pretty much going to be a DSM meet with no people from this board, lol......I hate DSM people (no offense you 2), they are notorious young idiotic drivers that can't behave....I'm not bailing anyone out of jail. Might be just me but I don't think races on a Sunday at the beach are really a good idea.

ah yo... e-town was crazy! 500 tech cards sold within a few hours! i made it in just before they sold out! in my class (dst)... srt's ran the place! and my peoples that was in dsm ran the place also! the announcer called it an "srt parade! and can quite possibly replace the hondas!" does dudes were funny as hell! when i was running i was listening to them trying to pernounce my name.... they were fumbling but they got it right! you guys should have came!

If you go to "Directions", look at the map, where it says Refreshments is near where we are supposed to park. Sometimes it smells like fish there, so the lot marked 'Overlook Parking Field' is a good alternative!

people for the most part have been cool with the saturn, most couldnt even dream of hooking up a saturn let alone a wagon at that..I've had it for 5 years and saw the potential..im just glad I was one of the last to get the erebuni body kit for the sedan and put it on the wagon..

yeah that sounds good...my saturn is going into hibernation anyway so I wont be driving it...last weekend first time I tested nitrous on the saturn and blew my head gasket so now I got oil in the antifreeze and got no heater sucks and my sound system just fried my alternator noting normal but now saturn needs major repairs ...thank god I got another low mileage saturn for parts car which I plan on swapping everything for the winter/spring season.....so unless we can have a car meet where my Chrysler LHS fits I'm no go...
