Any of you got any experience with this car? Maybe one of you from Australia? Just wanna know what you think about it. If it is worth buying.

Ive seen videos(best motoring/video option) and read about it but here in Europe there isnt many if any at all so it wouldnt be that easy for me to go check one out. Really like the car from what Ive seen and heard about it but would help to hear from someone that has tried one and such. Was thinking about importing one about next May so that I would have it by the summer. Thanks in advance.

if you do, make sure you can work on it..

importing a car that there are not many there, is tough.. hard to get parts etc..

best of luck, i know its a nice car!

Hard enough to even get it registerd. Its more or less like US over here for Skyline/S15. Hard/impossible to register. Not sure how it is in US now but I at least think it was pretty hard there. As for me, I have to ship it by Germany to get it checked and stuff. Sucks and costs extra money.

its a good car. lemme know what kinda price you can find one for, i might wanna bring one over here for "show use"

You would probably kill me if you could if I buy with the price I have to pay to get it here. Damn government.

The car in japan is $12,5k +/-
Shipping to Norway maybe about $1,6k
What I have to pay fully registerd would be about $42k

Yeah, I know it sucks but thats just how it is over here. Just like gas prices. You guys are used to what you have and we are used to what we have. We will just have to live with it. Oh, and most of the money after shipping goes straight to the government. Greedy bastards. And this would be for the '99(first model?). Newer would ofcourse cost more.

dude, screw over the government. bring it over for show use, which would limit the amount of miles put on the car yearly, then just roll back your odometer. (this would then be illegal, therefore i would not condone such actions)

that's what i would be doing, fukin government takes enough of our money from taxes, there is no reason to fuk wioth our cars too

We'll see. Ill most likely buy it anyway unless anything special happens. Bank will own it for a periode :P But who cares as long as I will be the one driving :D And I dont think we have anything like the show stuff you are talking about over here. Only thing I could do was to keep buying "test-plates" where you pay for every day but would get too expensive. Thanks for the advice anyway. How much would it cost to get one in US?

as of right now, legally you can't. you could import one over here for race use, or for show use, but for show use you can only drive the car up to 2500 miles per year. Right now a company, jdmevolution, is working on becoming a registered importer of silvias, and the estimated price of a spec-s is 33k, and a spec-r is like 43k

I thought I read somewhere that the S15 6-speed geabox wasn't good at handling power, but the S14/S13 5-speeds bolt on, I believe. Besides taillights that remind me of Grand Ams, I'd love to have an S15.

S15's are great, I would definately recommend it. Especially the Spec-R version. Spec-S is allright too but just doesn't have the extra aero stuff.

Doing your own custom conversion is much better, IMHO. Talk to Dan (Black S14 with S15 front), he'll give you the super low-down.

i like his car and all, but its still just an s14. I see no point in even trying to convert it to an s15 because it will never be one. the s15 has a totally different body and everything. But his car does look good.

Really like this one myself. Doesnt look too aggressive.

S15 doesn't have a "totally" different body. It has a mildly different body, same stance.

Theres a conversion one I believe running around in Salem/Keizer. Its pretty sweet looking I must say.
