I was just kinda wondering, we always talk about what "high-end" cars we would love to have, but what about those poor lonely cars that we leave behind?

It was a hard choice between the Mk3 Supra, or the Talon TSI AWD... but I like the Supra.

Eclipse/Talon AWD. Those things have a lot of potential. Oh, and I love AWD launches.

I know, I use to own a hella modified one... but with a lot of power, you will go through clutches and tranny's like crazy.

I have a 91 GSX with engine problems, stock. Got it cheap and I can stomp on pretty much everything around here, its the AWD, gotta love it. Plus you can get a stock TSI/GSX for $2000 and take on almost anything, I stayed with a WRX the other day that had exhaust, suspension and rims that i could see.

Gotta say DSM!!! I've owned 10 of them, including a Galant VR4 and currently drive a 1991 Talon TSi AWD as my beater :)

Out of those, the 240 or the MR2. But a real good cheap car is the Porsche 951. A pretty good example can be had for about 7-9K.

I'm gonna have to "just say no" to anything DSM. You can buy them for about 2 bucks, but spend 10 grand to make them run about 75% of the time.

Where's the Ford FuckedUs?? That's a great cheap car.

i voted for the good old AW11 MR2, theres better cars in the world but the aw11 is my car so obviously its the best car in the world when ever im talking about it! i notace an eclipse was in the list! not very affordable round my way! was talking to a guy from the DVLA (vehicle licancing place in the UK) and he told me theres only 5 eclipses in england! RX7's are quite rare here too! used to have a supra turbo! i bought it when i was 17 but the insurance company wanted £7000 a year to insure it! so not very affordable eather! lol

Damn, my thread lives on! Big thanks to all who have been/ will reply. I've ruled the EF and DSMs out... Leaning more towards a turbo Mk3 Supra or a 240SX.

Woah woah woah there.....you're talking about my livelihood there :p :p If people wanna pay me $10,000 to make there $2 car run 10's for a day or two, them let them!! BTW, I can get you in the 10's for less than half that ;)

I am VERY much into DSM's and nothing will ever change my mind about them :D

1g DSM is prolly the fastest otta the bunch...but they break constantly so even if it can beat stuff for cheap it can only beat things half of the time lol...i'd prolly go with the 240sx because its a all around cool car...or the FC because its got 50/50 weight distrabution

lol DSM Survival kit? Bring one 1g, bring a second 1g. Just in case you need a motor or something... lol

My friend has a dsm shop and man...it's mayhem in here. 3 of my friends drove 1g's.....and only one is left.

And they are evil cars...they made me do 90+ in a 35 and fly by two cops. lol. Ok lesson was learned very hard that night :D

The only thing worse than the mass breakage of the DSMs is the fact that there is about 1 running RX-7 at any given time around here...At one point a few months ago, there were NO running RX-7s!!! And as far as the DSMs go, yeah, there's a few that run really great times, but they're only race ready for a couple of weeks each year.
